Sorry for the delay - we just returned from our trip out to the Southwest and I've had a lot of catching up to do after being gone for 9 days. We had a great time and I accumulated more than 135 K steps but of course after all of those HOT days of hiking (116 degrees on day 1 in Phoenix), we loaded up on water lots of salty snacks - to replenish sodium levels and big meals - we worked up an appetite! Thankfully the temperatures dropped later in the week as we moved North but hiking in and around Sedona, the Bright Angel trail in the Grand Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, Antelope Canyon, the New Wave, Capital Reef, Goblin State Park, Arches, Canyon Lands, and Black Canyon of the Gunnison is hard work! The last two days included white water rafting under the Royal Gorge bridge and a Rockies baseball game in Denver before our return flight. I didn't really hold back on eating choices as I figured I was burning calories galore - turns out I still managed to eat more than I burned so I'm disappointed in the 6 lb weight gain but I was 2 lbs lighter the next day so at least some of this appears to be temporary so I'll take the hit this time with an optimistic outlook for next Monday.
Here's a picture of the family at Canyon X (Antelope Canyon) near Page, Arizona. This checks off the Big 5 National Parks and puts us somewhere in the low 40's now in terms of National Parks we've visited. I highly recommend the National and State parks of Arizona, Utah & Colorado if you've never been - maybe just don't go at the hottest time of the year!

@jimboden3 I am so jealous!!! I was supposed to go out there last October but covid had other plans! Your photo only makes me want to go even more. I am planning another cross country trip next year so maybe I will be able to hit a few of these gems. Although the trip for next year will be to Alaska via camper. I also have a friend in Arizona so there maybe a pit stop or 2.2

Stress eating the past 2 weeks. I been thinking of what I'm eating as I eat, but I'm still eating crap😒 I have been going walking at least 5 times a week for at least 20 minutes around the neighborhood. This too shall pass 🙌🏽4 -

Congratulations Downsizers!
I'm waiting for the scales to catch up with the loss I've earned!New scale is coming today (hopefully). I might not have my weight till tomorrow morning.
Good luck, I got a new scales in 2020 and discovered I weighed 7lb more than I thought (my old ones were 20 years old!)1 -
@jimboden3 wow that looks amazing. I'm planning a trip to the USA as soon as I'm convinced covid is over ..... definately adding this to my must see list! Thanks for sharing2

Blooming typical, day after my weigh in and the scales finally catches up ... dropped another 2.2lb! Never mind, next week's weight in should be really good, although I must not think I've already lost over 2lb this week so can treat myself!!!!!2
