Winter cold is already getting old.
When do you and Kris leave for Savannah, Dennis? Am sure you will still be able to have a wonderful time indoors.
Steph, please tell us about cinnamon rolls and Runza chili. Saw a video clip of Alton Brown tasting it and he was not impressed.

Savannah sounds great about now. Getting super cold here.
I’m with you Sam. I need to go to the store again. Not sure about ds1 and his plans yet. Watching the snow storm. Mary, what are you hearing?? One station says blizzard in Chicago from Thursday night thru Friday or Saturday. Some places says we will get a lot of snow, others say rain so, who knows. If he can’t make it we will celebrate new year’s provided he can make it then. The over 5 hour trek is starting to really sink in for him.
Text the gfs mom last night. We just both want them safe as our #1 concern and the gf starts her new pharmacy job on the 26th.
Busy day again today. I hope I get

Morning BBB
I can say I never had the chili at Runza (a fast food restaurant that specializes in cabbage/meat pies and never frozen burgers). They have the best fries.
But chili/ cinnamon rolls is totally a thing. My elementary/ high school served it at least twice a month. Rolls were as big a my hand and super fluffy with tons of crusty sugar.
This morning I’m heading uptown to meet some other expat ladies for coffee.
We’re getting bad weather too starting on Friday. Forecasting high winds and rain until Tuesday. Looks like no more beach days for our friends. Hope all of you and your families make it safely to your destinations.0 -

This expected storm is the pits! This after 2 years of covid ruining the holiday get togethers, geez. I agree with you Kelly safety comes first. Seems the 4 to 8 inches of snow forecasted here starting late tonight into Thursday night, Fri., is more impacted by the high winds blowing it around, hence blizzard conditions and also cold extreme wind chill.
Ds1 can depart Thursday 4pm or Friday 4pm. Friday may be the better option, who knows if he will even depart at all? Safety first of course. Departing today wasn't an option for him, had to work.
Well, I best open the office and get to it. Not much going on at this point.

. Made it to Savannah safely yesterday.
. Stopped on the way down to have lunch with our full time RV friends who are working at Jack Hill State today.
. Found a great hole in the wall seafood restaurant last night. Might go back again tonight . Savannah Seafood Shack.
. General tourist stuff on track for today.

Seems the weather is lousy everywhere.
We're celebrating Christmas today. DS has to be at his office for a couple meetings this morning, then can do some things on his laptop from our house, so the family is coming over here early in the afternoon to hang out until supper. Just presents for the grandkids; nothing for the adults. They are all heading for a week in a mountain cabin, starting Friday.
