Feels like fall this morning—54º. It will warm up I’m sure by this afternoon, but nowhere near 100º like some of you. Yikes.
Online shopping is generally a shot in the dark. I ordered freeze-dried peas online, for a camping recipe, and the package came with pictures of bugs on it. It was peas, but for feeding “Isopods”, which people apparently raise as pets. (Who knew?) Getting drugs online or medical advice? I have done telemedicine visits, but with my regular doctors I see in person.
…time for coffee. Have a good day. Bob, good luck with your biopsy tomorrow.0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
So, did you use the peas, Mike?
Gentle rain, this morning, with showers off and on all day and a high of 65. It will warm a bit tomorrow and get up to 80 Saturday.
I have an appointment this morning, with the pain management clinic at the spine center in Olympia. Typically, my hip/leg feel OK this morning. We'll see what they say.0 -
Thanks. not looking forward to bx for sure. Boy I didn't know folks kept isopods (pill bugs) for pets.l hmmmmmm.
Good luck with your pain management visit Dave!
Yup rain here too. might get up to 1/2 inch??? we'll see.0 -
Good Morning
Dave, I hope the Pain Management folks can provide some relief and treatment scenarios for you going forward with a goal of getting back on the trail more frequently pain free.
Yesterday, we were heading home from our outing to Social Security, lunch etc when my Pain Drs office called with the surprising news that they were ready to schedule my epidural that had now finally been approved. We were cheering in the car. They scheduled it for next Wednesday and were emailing me the details. Though the last two days I have gotten things under control with the meds I knew it wouldn't last and the next 6 mos would be rough. I thought it only took 3 voicemails but... 90 minutes later they called to say they only had insurance verification and hadn't done the oncologist approval yet since I hadn't given her the Drs info. She insisted she didn't have voicemail at the office. I suggested she call her extension some time and wait, it will go to voicemail. Epidural is cancelled. She took the Dr information and sent me the form as well to take to my Urologist today for my next hormone therapy injection. An hour after that the Urologist office called to ask when I had done a PSA blood test. The injection has been pushed back till next week and I am off to the lab in a bit instead. Not a happy afternoon.0 -
It is a real pain when doctors staff will not do what is required and they fail to fully inform one of all that is required; plus one doctors office will respond faster to another doctors office than to individual calling. I would not be happy either.
Biopsies from dermatologist came back cancerous, will have cut out end of October after vacation and motorcycle rally; nurse is to get back with me on whether I will need to shave head again.
Praying for you Bob!
Steve, hope you have a long weekend and are able to get some good rest.
Reckon Lee and girls are out training.0 -
Afternoon gents.
Cool and breezy here and very comfortable morning training.
Yikes, Bill. My head hurts and I didn't even have to make a call. My run around with my insurance about my copay for the very expensive Skyrizi injections seem paltry to what you are going through.
Good luck tomorrow, Bob. Wishing good things.
I have to get to the derm doc. Hope it isn't too big a deal, Sam.
Sure hope you get some good results with pain docs, Dave. I seem to have finally gotten my pain med regimen where I am functioning pretty well with minimal fatigue.
