Did a hilly hike yesterday morning after Bible study. Good workout. Afterwards worked on DD’s piano for a long time, freeing up the keys and making them level with cardboard and paper washers. Going back today to set the key-dip, how far they go down when you play. I’m slow as molasses with this stuff, as I learn new things. I like it as a hobby, but could be mind numbing as a career.

Expecting some wind and rain as Lee blows by, especially on the coast. DD and DS on Cape Cod will get a lot more than me.

Steve , glad to hear you got back on the treadmill.

    Good morning!

My next move will be to get outside with walking, but for now, the treadmill is it. It is dark when I'm down there working out, but weekends are a little different. This Saturday, Connie and I will be at our annual Walk Like MADD. Sunday morning, I will get out on a trail by myself, or get the kayak out for one last little outing. I've only had the kayak out twice again this summer. My fault.

I saw some of the flooding in Mass. on the news last night. Be careful out there!

Tonight, Connie speaks to a group of 150-200 DUI offenders for a Victim Impact Panel in Olathe, Kansas. I will be there with her. You can tell that she always has a positive impact on people. I pray that tonight she will reach several and help them on a road to change.

Dave, I hope that you and Rita are earning a lot of fun money.

Prayers for all of you this morning. Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

Well, not a lot of money won, nor lost, yesterday. The MGM computer issues continued. While the play of slot machines isn't affected, the logistics around them was. The machines couldn't pay out. You have to push the collect button, then wait for someone to come around to pay you by hand. That could take a half hour or more. We gave up. We were in our room before 8 last night. We have managed to talk three different casinos into giving us food vouchers to compensate us for the benefits we haven't been able to collect. We'll see how today goes. After figuring out where/how we will eat brunch, we plan to walk to the far end of the strip, just rubber necking like first timers. Hope the hip/leg holds up. It hurt yesterday.

Hope the rain and wind isn't too much in New England. The year I was stationed in Maryland we took two glancing blows from passing hurricanes.

    Good Morning

I will be heading out this morning to get yesterdays errands and shopping done since Heather needed the car yesterday. I hope to take a nap this afternoon. I was up at 4:30 due to the back. Otherwise I will be cleaning up and organizing some of the things that got "temporarily" pushed aside and scattered a bit when we ended our efforts to move out of the house and settled back in a bit. I will try some easy workouts today again and try to get things working a bit better now that things have physically calmed down a bit. Tomorrow I will try the bike at the gym if all goes well.
