First day of fall. DGS has a football game at 2, just as hurricane rains scheduled to arrive. And as a frosh on the varsity he will very likely not even play. I missed the last two away games at BC and Yale, so should really go. The vagaries of grandparenting…
Nice hike yesterday with an old friend, beautiful weather, and had lunch afterwards at a mountainside cafe, reminiscing about friends and family and the passage of time.
Up way too late last night fooling around on the piano, then woke at the usual 5 AM. Going to be a long day...

Good morning!
Mike, you are living a full life with many different things going on, including your family. Good for you!
The dog is almost back to smelling normal. I'm not going to bathe her again anytime soon.
It is supposed to rain today, but right now, we are having a beautiful sunrise. I just completed 30 minutes on the treadmill.
Lots of projects and chores on the plate for today.

Good morning gentlemen.
Loading up for our four days over on the coast. We have a cottage at the Navy's Pacific Beach Recreation and Conference Center. Our trip begins as the first big Pacific storm of the season rolls in. So, it goes. We can watch the big waves crashing on the beach.
The place is supposed to have WiFi. Hope so. DS plans to do some work while we are there, keeping projects moving forward.0 -

That Pacific storm is not coming anywhere near us down in the Bay Area. We could use it down here to put out some fires and clear the air up. Sharing is Caring Dave.
I can't say yesterday was a very productive day. We move a load of packed boxes over to storage, came how and watched TV until we took a break for cake and ice cream that I had to pick up while stopping at the drug store. I am starting the Belbuca every 12 hrs today instead of Tramadol 3x a dat. Lots of warnings about some side effects to watch for. But so far so good and this should give a more even day. Not sure about today beyond or pledge to be more productive today. I can/will focus on the Living Room which I never quite get to.
