Hello Everyone. I am back looking to loose 25 lbs and improve my health some. I will be holding myself accountable for diet choices by logging and exercising with my 4 legged friends; Jace and Rudy. My fitness goals include a 5k in May and more enjoyment when hiking and canoeing.

Welcome back!
I guess that means you've done this before. I assume something happened after you left. Ask yourself what you will do differently this time to make it stick after you lose that 25 pounds. While you're here, think about developing some good life-long habits. Then when you get those pesky pounds off, you'll be set to keep going. Maintaining is the same as losing weight, just with a few more calories.
I'm an avid paddler. It used to mostly be kayaks (whitewater and sea kayaks), and I've started getting in open boats a lot more the last several years (whitewater and flatwater), plus rowing a gear raft for multi-day trips. My most recent canoe is a Wenonah Voyager, and it's dreamy. You might not believe it was 18 years old when I bought it last year. There's some spots on the bottom, but otherwise it's gorgeous. Hello, and welcome!
I'm another boat person. A little bit of canoe, a little bit of kayak, but mostly a lot of rowing shells: Single, double, quad. (I don't own the quad: My club does.)
Just as fair warning: The Community here (and I) would eventually appreciate a photo of Jace and Rudy. Me, I'm pet deprived at this point (it's complicated), but love both dogs and cats and have had such housemates most of the time in the past. They're good workout helpers.
