When I joined I put all my info in and it calculated how many cal etc to have to lose weight. And I’m a paid member so I get all the other benefits of fats. Carbs etc.

You're not telling us what you're doing, so difficult to tell you what you are doing wrong (if anything).

    - use the goal set-up as a starting point to get a calorie goal (hints: activity level does NOT include exercise; choose a moderate rate of loss, 0.5-1% of your body weight per week): https://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/change-goals-guided
    - weigh your foods and enter them into your diary (check if the entries you're using are correct)
    - if you exercise, enter this in your diary as well (it will adjust your calorie goal)
    - evaluate after 4 to 8 weeks: if your loss is slower than expected, lower your goal a bit; if your losses are faster than expected, you can eat a bit more

Macros are not essential to weight loss:
    - calories determine weight loss
    - macros influence satiation (most people find protein filling, for example, but individuals can vary greatly)
    - macros influence health: be sure to consume sufficient protein to avoid muscle loss. I like this calculator: https://examine.com/protein-intake-calculator/
