BE AWARE

Your membership will be renewed automatically, without notice, and no refund id possible. I had not used the app for many months and first I knew about the renewal was a charge on my Credit Card. I asked for a refund immediately. No response. The vast majority of legitimate businesses give notice of automatic renewal.

I've run across others that have sent a notice after the automatic renewal.

Now, I pay attention at sign-up. Usually - often in that fine-print or "follow this link" disclosure we ignore but click a box to agree to - there's a pre-notification that the thing will auto-renew. I've found that generally I can go in soon after sign-up and do something to my payment information that will make it impossible for the thing to auto-renew. That will generally trigger a notification before expiration that I need to update my payment details in order to keep the subscription.

If that doesn't work, I put an item on my calendar a couple of weeks before the auto-renew date to make sure I deal with it in time.

I hear that you're upset. I empathize. I fear it may be one of those "Caveat Emptor" variations, updated to modern electronic resources.

I don't get many notices before routine automatic charges.

I hope that you continue to enjoy your membership since you paid for it, and I hope you remember to cancel before the renewal date if you want to quit.

Have you contacted your credit card to dispute the charge? That usually works for me.
