Hello. New to MFP

I'm Cathy, from Nor.Cal. I'm in my early 50s. My goal is to lose about 10 pounds so that I am in the healthy BMI range, then maintain that weight, and to exercise every day alternating between cardio and strength. I've been a vegetarian for decades, newly vegan. Getting enough protein is a challenge. I'm hoping this app will help me reach my goals.

    Once you get to your goal of a healthy BMI, then you can decide whether to set additional goals. You might find you want to continue losing, or you might just decide maintenance is great. Maintenance is really the same as weight loss, but just with a few more calories.

    With only ten pounds to lose to your goal, take it slow - no more than a half pound per week.
