GM (or evening)
Having trouble sleeping. I think I slept too much yesterday. Pain pills sorta have opposite effect too. They don't make me drowsy.
Gonna be a long day. Hope for a nap.
Getting excited for new whip delivery tomorrow! Got lined up for tint and ceramic coating already.
Booked DW and I a week in AK in July to visit family. That'll be fun.
She's having rough time going through DMILs room and stuff but making good progress.
We started talking about selling and moving. May talk to realtor soon. The beach and coastal life is our dream.
DBIL and DSIL ckmkng sat for dinner.
Stil surreal.
Back staples itch like crazy. Glad they come out next week. Oi.
Almost time to say screw it. Get up. And go to SBUX!
CBL. ❤️ to you all for the amazing outpouring of daily encouragement and authentic friendships.

Good morning.
Last year was kind of a bkur, Skip. When did y'all move there? Doesn't seem that long ago? There's a condo in Mexico if you're ready to go all-in.
Cecilia's next in line for a car. Hers is a 2015 Mazda CX5. Still pretty low mileage for a 10 y/o car, but I can see the itch forming. I think if she were working, she might pull the trigger.
Due to the rains they've been getting, the dinosaur tracks in Glen Rose are all underwater. So we've pivoted and are going to Houston to see the Johnson Space Center.
Because this isn't a planned trip, we can't check out the Apollo command center though because that books out weeks in advance; no help to folks sitting on the couch on a Tuesday night saying "now what?"0 -
Good morning BBB Friends.
- That was quite a nap you took yesterday, Skip. No wonder you didn't sleep last night. Hopefully you'll get back on schedule soon.
- How's the new sod looking Sam? Rain and warmer temps should be good for it.
- So, if Cecilia pulled the trigger, what would she buy?
- We are off to se one of our financial guys today. Lots of changes in our income flow this year with annuities maturing, SS starting, etc. I remember when this all looked like a long-range plan and it's happening now.
- Have a day BBB, but remember it is Maundy Thursday.

Mornin' BBB
(((Carrie)))
Now that you've worked out the bugs of a new build, it should sell fast.
Too bad the dinosaur tracks trip was canceled. Looking at stuff 65 million years old is quite the experience.
Dog training rained out today. Just doinking around.

Gave up trying to sleep around 2:45.
Came out and worked on some "Thank you" notes. My Grandmama (RIP) was ADAMANT about two things that I still do in her honor today: #1. You never ever ever show up at a home without a host gift (usually a libation and #2. You ALWAYS send a note of thanks (Handwritten). Alas, i've got stationary cards that I do just that. Short/sweet and most people enjoy.
Lou - i know, 2023 was a blur. We sold our home in Feb 2023 and moved into new build in May 2023.
Tucker is at DayCare today. Its rainy and cold but they have some outdoor activities planned so shall see!
Cheers,

Good morning, BBB friends.
I am really close to pulling the trigger on a Tacoma. I don't need one, I just want one. We'll see. When the money from my mom's estate starts to come in, it might be hard to resist.
Forget the Starbucks trip, Skip. You're not ready for driving. Door Dash will deliver.
Not looking forward to clearing out all my mother's things from her house. Clothes will all go to Goodwill, but other things are a tougher job. My dad had a collection of historical firearms. Most are reproductions, using modern ammunition. You can't sell them without going through full background checks. How do you do that? Then there are the tools Dad inherited from his dad, some of which date from several generations before that. I'd love to keep them, but don't have room. I'd use them for decorations in our house, but doubt Rita would go for that. And on and on ...0 -
Hi, again.
Dennis - she used to like the small sporty things like the Pontiac Solstice. But now that we're here in Texas and she feels like every vehicle on the road is trying to kill her, it'd be another SUV, just bigger.
Dave - you may not get as much as in a private sale, but you can sell them to a dealer and save yourself a headache.
Skip - I feel compelled to remind you that living in your home for 2 of the 5 years preceding sale will keep you from paying tax on any gain. If you think you're going to break even or lose money, then it's not a concern of course.0 -
Morning gang
I agree skip, have that starbucks delivered.
While we loved several of the condos we saw and so far love Puerto Peñasco, I just can't seem to make it make sence to buy. We are renting this lovely condo for $2850 for 6 months and they are selling for $750-800 for the same 2 bed unit and more for bigger. While we can't change anything here it's pretty well set up and renting just make us happy, at least for now. When we looked there were 3 units available for immediate rental and lots more available later this summer.
Dave I'm sure you made room for some tools.0 -
Good Afternoon BBB
Got my groceries for the weekend at 0630am this morning. And already there and back again, to get what I forgot. It was even on the list. Hmm, guess checking twice, wasn't enough this time. I was up at 0430. But also asleep at 2000, so there's my 8 hours.
$475/mo rent, for a place like that, is a great deal, Steph, I agree.!!! And If anything breaks, you call the guy!
Yeap Dennis, first thing I thought about this morning, thats its Maunday, Last Supper, Thursday.
All the snow is melted here again. Now I hope that we don't see anymore until December.
Hope you all have a blessed safe and happy day.

Good Afternoon,
Skip, I believe no driving is recommend; also would not make major decisions while taking pain meds!
Sunny 69 today, 70 tomorrow, 75 Saturday, 77 Sunday, 79 Monday; cloudy a couple of days but no rain in forecast.
Cecilia needs either a Suburban or Yukon XL to fit in with Texas, once she gets use to one you will not get her into a smaller vehicle.
Pablo came home with the cone of shame, he does not like it! They recommended he wear it for ten days.
Dave I'll bet Rita would let you display some of dad's tools in den, displayed on wall or shelves.
Prayers for Carrie as she goes through mom's things. took me over a year to clean parents' house out. Dave you are lucky you have a sister to do most of work and push things through.
Have told kids and DMIL I am cooking Sunday, and they are welcome to come, just let me know.0
