    The connection between Garmin Connect and my phone and MyFitnessPal can be a bit unreliable. What I do is upload the data from my device to Garmin Connect on my laptop. On my phone I open the Garmin Connect app and click on the new activity. That seems to initiate the sharing between Connect and the iPhone Fitness app and MFP. To make sure, I open the MFP app on my phone and check that the activity has registered. It's a bit of PITA but it seems to work.
