hi my name is Jeanine. I’ve tried so many different programs. I thought I’d give this one a shot and something else works. I’m very skeptical. I have started many weight-loss programs but never get very far get frustrated and quit and then cheat so I’m trying my best here and hopefully this will work or give me the tools to not hate myself. Well of course you give up easily!
Instead of making this a pity party for self hate, choose a slower route. Plan to lose a pound or even half a pound a week.
Also, change your words. “Quit” “cheat” “frustrated” “self hate”. Would you talk to a friend like that? WHY use those words on yourself. One thing I’ve truly learnt here is to reframe my words.
I bet simply weighing and logging, you’re going to see immediately where the problems lie, and you can start making incremental changes and adjustments.
Why beat yourself up trying to change to world at once?
You’ll find a lot of support here. I went fr obese to normal using this app, learned new habits, which have helped me maintain for over five years now.
You can keep doing same old same old, fail again, or you can actually pay attention for a change, learn something and lose.
What’s better? Losing ten in a month, quitting and gaining 12? Repeating in six months?
Or, doing it slowly, losing even a basic couple pounds a month, and being down 24 in a year? If you start as heavy as I did, I bet, too, you’ll lose at a faster pace than that.We are so “trained” by magazines and social media that loss should be fast! Fast! FAST!!! that we lose track of simple, slow and steady.
Listen to your head for a change, not your wishes and fantasies.
