I'm going to be frank: Losing close to a kilo and a half per week for 3 months isn't a realistic goal . . . unless maybe you currently weigh well over 150 kg and are under close medical supervision for nutritional deficiencies and health complications. I seriously don't recommend it. Making the process harder rarely increases chances of success.

An intermittent fasting plan, like eating within 4 hours and fasting for 20? That can help some people manage their appetite, but it's 100% not essential for weight loss. If your key goal is weight loss, then why feel like you've wasted the day when you do or don't do something that isn't essential to that goal?

Fat loss is about calorie balance. I ate from shortly after getting up in the morning until bedtime and lost weight fine, as long as I was eating the right number of calories. There's ample scientific research showing that eating schedule has minimal to no effect on weight loss rate, when people are eating the same mix of calories/nutrients. Why make the process more difficult than it needs to be? Why beat yourself up?

Some people believe that fasting has other health benefits. I'm going to stay neutral on that question. But if weight loss is the objective, timing of eating is flexible.

Success with weight management is worth the effort it takes, in my experience. That said, don't make the effort any bigger than it needs to be, because that generally reduces the chance of succeeding. I'd love to see you succeed, sincerely.

    Best wishes!

Why fast 20/4? What or who have you failed if you don't do it? Weight loss is mostly about calories. Period.

Are you trying to achieve something else at the same time?

Depending on how much you weigh now, you've set a really ambitious (maybe unrealisticly fast) goal.

I wish you the best in your endeavors!
