Hello fellow fitness fanatics

I’ve just joined and can’t wait to progress with you all!
I was always fairly active but still overweight. I couple years ago I had an injury that seriously affected my health. I couldn’t lift anything over 10 lbs for months. Sadly, I’m back to that point again. I need to have surgery to repair an incisional hernia, but my doctor says I need to lose 40 lbs first! I’ve had some success with weight loss before, but never that much at one time.
I have six months before my follow up with the surgeon and I REALLY want to have the weight off by then because this freaking hernia affects everything I do!
Would love suggestions on how to build (or at least maintain) muscle and strength while losing the weight. Most traditional resistance options are out for me. I can’t even stand for an hour at a time anymore.
Thanks everyone!
