Please join us starting on 6/30 for JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, when we will begin Round 302!
Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. You have only one hour to edit your post. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share. Make the board your own - track what is important for YOUR JOURNEY.
FOR NEWBIES
- I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.

Lets goooo! Getting my list posting in as I have some time this morning:
A little bit about me: I'm 33 years old, female, 160cm (5ft 2.5in) tall. I have a 2yo son who is so full of energy and keeps me eternally busy! I generally keep fit doing judo (although I have injured my knee right now). I have crohns and am currently working with my IBD team to try and get myself into remission (inflammation markers are down, but they are tweaking the medication to hopefully get it even lower). I weigh wearing clothes so my actual weight fluctuates a lot, but I'm more concerned about trend.

7/19Historical Averages: I like to track averages due to my wild fluctuations. For the same reason, I like to weigh daily so I can see the lows from time to time. It gives me hope. As I look back over time I choose to let it inspire me rather than depress me.
Posting these only once per round behind a spoiler.

🌸My name is Allie, and I've been a MyFitnessPal (MFP) user for many years. I genuinely enjoy using the app to track my food, and I find it to be the best tool for this, especially since I tend to eat the same foods regularly.
I recently created a new profile because I wanted to change my old username (which was almost 20 years old), but MFP only allows one username change. In the past, I would plan my meals almost every day, but I often didn't stick to them. I used to workout about five days a week but once Covid hit and all of the gyms closed, I stopped working out and I haven't been able to get motivated to start again. I would start and then quit after just a few days. It seemed like it would take forever to get back to where I used to be. But now, too much time has passed and too much weight has piled on and I need to do something about it before I am just too far gone.
The entire MFP app feels completely different from what it used to be. I particularly miss the old homepage where I could see my friends' comments and interact with the community. It feels like such a lonely journey now without that communal aspect. I really enjoyed feeling like part of a supportive group, and I hope that feature is still available in some form that I haven't discovered yet.
With this new profile, I'm hoping for a fresh start and to finally reach my goals. I would love to connect with others for accountability, motivation, and companionship on this journey.
My goal for this round it to end better than I started.

🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 302 (my 232nd). So grateful to @Quiltingjaine to keeping this going for such a long time – thank you.
Goals for every round;
- First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
- to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
- be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
I need to remain consistent - it does work! I aim to lose a pound this round. Good luck for success everyone.
Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 134. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.
Updated 20.08.24 – I met up with youngest DB, first time after his DP passed away at the way too early age of 46. DB lives a long way from us, we see him very infrequently & is very introvert, so not a sharer of info 😞. However, he finally opened up to me, it seems that his DPs bad health leading to heart failure followed by kidney, liver failure & then a massive stroke, was originally caused by heavy drinking. By the time he realised he was abusing his body and went teetotal, the damage was too late to reverse. He was on the list for a heart transplant, but his other organs gave up before one became available. This has made me think about how I am abusing my body when I have binges with way too much sugar, fat & salt. I know I am a food addict. I'm going to try to think about this when I am tempted to overindulge, I need to start respecting my body more and think about whether I want to be in the best health I can be. My body has served me so well for 67 years, it deserves to be given the best chance to keep serving me well & I've been really lucky that life has not dealt me a raw health deal, so I must not jeopardize that luck.

Hello I'm Darlene, retired, 64-year-old. Married (Greg), one adult daughter (Allyson), and one goldendoodle (Monty). I started my journey in January 2023, and over the last two years have lost about 90 pounds, give or take a couple. I got to my goal weight in the last quarter of 2024, and now tackling the maintenance phase.

I am in the Biggest Loser Challenge, and we have been discussing other challenges on MFP and which ones we like. This one was recommended and I have been watching it for a while.
I was concerned that since I am already at my goal weight that I wouldn't be a good fit, but I need some daily accountability, so thought I would give it a try. Hoping that's ok!

7/10 179.0 Maybe my big terrible bump up last round was a jump scare to get me back on track.
I have actively been using my self control and will power this week.It is not my favorite.
I like when the weight just falls off because I’m so busy and active. That usually happens starting in May but this year has been a big old belly flop!
I have to put in more effort, a lot more. I’ve got all of the positive feelings for this.
Oh!!!! Yesterday was my first aqua yoga class and it’s awesome!!!!! It felt very supportive but also surprisingly difficult. You have to really work to find stability. I forget who asked for the feedback but if you have the opportunity- definitely go for it.5 -
@ReignFromAshes: I too have been an MFP member for years and until I found this challenge I felt the lack of community; this is a great group who have been together for years, so I hope you find it as welcoming as I did!
@iLive2Walk: I thought I remembered you in here, but I guess it was in another group? Congratulations on reaching maintenance, which I think is at least as hard as losing! There are a number of us who are struggling with that, and need all the support we can get!

A good start to the round thanks to reasonable eating and excellent exercise. I rode my bike about 19 miles; about half of it was in heart rate zone 3. The bad part was it was the heat of the day. I downed a liter of LMNT drink during the ride and immediately afterward. We belong to a CSA (community supported agriculture.) The farmer gives us a bag full of freshly picked veggies every Tuesday, based on what is ripe this week. This week had the most beautiful kale I have ever seen. That is where my appreciation for kale stops. BUT, DW stir fried it with a bunch of other veggies and it changed everything. Very delicious.
Happy Birthday to Jeff. So, I will have two opportunities for ice cream today. 😊 I hope I can maintain this number.

Since December I've "playing games" in my head about my choices. It's been "weight creep" since then: "oh, it's only a pound, I can lose that in a couple days"; "It's Friday night, it's only once a week"; "I don't care, I'm close to where I want to be". Over 6 months the excuses added up, and so did the pounds.
It's really about how I feel, not what I weigh- for me, the number is only a reflection of living in my reality.

@iLive2Walk Welcome! You’re in the right place. personally, I find “maintenance” the hardest place to be… embracing & living a new identity. I’ve named my maintenance journey “healthy, strong and fit.” That’s where I am now residing- several lbs away. #HSF.

7/10 145.8. Not what I wanted to see, but it makes sense. A bit of extra sodium with dinner last night, and TOM. Food was in calories, a short walk, no run.
Tonight, we are taking our boys to our friends' to go swimming in their pool. We'll have dinner with them, so my food will be a bit out of the norm. Who knows how that will appear on the scale tomorrow. I'm planning to be careful with portion sizes and drinks. But it's going to be fun and I'm looking forward to it.

I did have a disappointing wrap bite that I wish I had just thrown away and had something else instead, but I didn't feel deprived with my other choices (I mean the coronation chicken sandwich I had is honestly one of the best coronation chickens I've ever had). Dinner was a disappointing pasta because I messed up cooking it. Ah well. Calories ended up under so that's a win

SW Round 302: 216
7/10: 214 - I am in my first week of my mini 6 week challenge. I am still playing around with my food planning/macros and workouts. I think I have my macros down to a good starting point where I don't feel hungry or sacrificing taste but I feel like my workouts aren't enough at the moment. I am still tweaking things so that I have a good flow. I feel so much better when I have a good plan in place and not stressing about what I am going to do next. I created a 6 week journal/planner because I am a visual person and having a plan written out for me and checking things off just make it easier for me. I try to put in all of the work upfront and then just glide the rest of the way through. I am still fine tuning the planner though. I am currently having trouble getting back into the heavy weights that I used to do (5X5 Starting Strength) so I am using a YouTube workout series called the Iron Series and I have Les Mills On Demand and I have done some of their Body Pump classes. I am hoping that once I get through the Iron series, I can start back up with the heavy weights again. We'll see. Right now I am about to go do Iron day 5 💪

Just Give Me 10 Days – Round 302
July 10 - 19, 202563 year old female, 5’5”. I am married, semi-nomadic (we live in three states, Mass, Maine, Florida).
SW WW Sept 29, 2001 - 168.8 (initially lost 29.8, became staff, then up and down 18 years with low of 126.8)
SW MFP Sept 14, 2020 – 153 (lost 40, then stress loss if2.2 lb with low of 120.8, then stress gain)
SW MFP Jan 1, 2023 – 146.6GW Maintaining between 124 – 126 SW: 127.6 Since my weight is slowing coming back down, I’ve added back in history details INCLUDING my maintenance numbers. In January, it seemed silly including my goal was to maintain 124 – 126 when I was weighing 138. Those maintenance numbers are in sight now. Just need to get there.
SW: 128.0
7/10 – 129.0 The ice cream I bought for my sister (arriving tonight) is now gone. I guess I pre-gamed my stress eating that typically happens when she is here. She’ll be staying with us until mid-day Monday. All around, I am going to try and handle things better. Oh, I did the math. I was about 1500 calories over by the time I got done. :’(

7/10 - 164.5 - I'm not quite sure what this is about. Stress? My macros are set a bit low and causing me to drop faster than expected? Who knows. I'm eating up to my macros/deficit as it is set (and updated Friday) despite sometimes losing my appetite. Check ins may be limited this weekend. I have a vet appointment for baby Whiskey tomorrow so I'll be taking that as my one day off to relax and enjoy with Stepson in the next town over. We'll likely visit Fam - they adopted a puppy that was found without mom and only one littermate alive in the flood. She didn't respond to Stormy but responded, fittingly, to Rio. We will see about introducing Whiskey to Rio and I can get a hug from my best friends for the first time since this nightmare started.
Saturday we are helping BF's coworker who lost everything. They found her RV (she was living in it - stayed at her mom's with her husband and dogs for the holiday weekend so they survived) but it needs to be dug out and whatever we can try to salvage we will. Saturday was booked up with my VFD crew so I signed up for the 12 hour shift on Sunday for SAR. It's going to be a long and tiring weekend. My goals will be going by the wayside since I won't have a choice in food (so many people donating food to first responders and I'm sure we'll find some kind of food while helping dig Saturday). I'll likely take off a day or two the beginning of next week from the gym after 2 days of digging up debris. That's more than enough workout I think and far more important/meaningful than going to the gym. I have meals planned that take about 30 minutes to make for lunch for me (will make enough for the full week) and dinners (will make enough for 2 meals for each of us and have leftovers later in the week) since I won't be able to meal prep - will be gone from about 6am until 8-9pm Sunday.
Thank you for all the continued prayers. There are over 120 confirmed gone to Heaven. Over 170 people still missing. There was also an equally as scary (and fast moving) flash flood in Ruidoso, NM, another beloved town I have often visited (and debated moving to). Watching the videos is very like watching videos from my town. I know there's been flooding in North Carolina and I believe I saw some flooding in Oklahoma and Chicago (parents are safe - the rains/flooding in Chicago didn't quite reach them thankfully). We are hurting but we are stronger together and will keep fighting ❤️
