I'm sure you don't need to eat only 1200 calories per day, and especially not if you also exercise. That women need to eat measly 1200 calories per day to lose is not a fact but just something touted by tabloids and colourful magazines. I'm sure you're doing fine. And you made a start. So yay to you!

what are your stats?
did MFP give you 1200 calories and if so, what rate of loss did you select?
How long have you been doing this?
Be aware that whatever number MFP gives you is a NET number - ie you are suppossed t o eat back exercise calories

inflammation and bloating from your workout, or your diet?
If it’s dietary, whoaaaa Nelly.
If it’s workout related and workout is new to you that’s normal. Your weight may spike a few pounds because of the inflammation and then drop when it lessens.
