Thanks for starting up the new September thread, @KateNkognito!! Where has the year gone?!
Hope you had a nice Labor Day weekend. We did. Went to a party at a friend's house on the Sunday, otherwise lots of relaxing and time spent outside. It was nice to have an extra day yesterday. Went to the gym and got a quick Aldi trip in, otherwise more relaxation. LOL
Back at work and in office today and phew. Lots of emails! Slowing digging out. I will get there.

Yesterday was a bit of chaos, but today seems to be much quieter. Fingers crossed that it stays that way for the rest of the week.
@Meghan509 We had a very quiet weekend, too. The weather has been lovely, lately. I have been making an effort to spend more time outside.
I am off to try to stay awake for three more hours, and get a wee bit done. Have a wonderful rest of the week!

Friday Eve is here. It feels like this week has been flying, I guess since Monday was a holiday and Tuesday I was off. Less days on the highway too woo hoo!
Glad you had a nice long weekend @KateNkognito! Outside time is always nice. Our neighbor's cat has been visiting often lately, which is nice too!
Been on a tear eating yogurt lately. At night for "dessert" we have been making DIY Chobani Flipz with yogurt, nuts, cookies, graham crackers, etc. Since the Flipz have not been on-sale in quite some time and they are kind of pricy we decided to make our own. We are liking them a lot. :)
Are you receiving odd friend requests lately, or is it just me? They are always profiles with photos of Caucasian men in them. I am assuming they are just looking for people to scam. Sigh…

I had a rough start to my morning, but the rest of the day has been pretty quiet. They finally started working on the road to the north of the house. No problem, my driveway goes to the west… except that they had semi trucks on one side of the street and the workers parked on the other side. I couldn't get out so my son had to move his car so I could slide through the construction vehicles and dodge Road Closed signs to get out. Needless to say, I am taking my computer with me just in case I am closed in and need to work from home!
@Meghan509 I am getting those, too. Weirdos. I go through yogurt phases sometimes too. I really love the Yoplait Whips. So yummy!

Sorry to hear about your rough start yesterday @KateNkognito! Jeez, that sounds like a traffic nightmare. I hope you dodged the drama this morning or are working from home like me! LOL
Made it back in to "onederland" - 199 on the scale today. 0.8 of a pound down. Slow but steady.
Work is busy but good. Not crazy. Getting a lot of stuff done. Going to head to the gym mid day. Yea!
Rest of the day today looks sunny and nice. Little rain coming in Saturday PM in to Sunday AM but that is okay we really need it.
No big plans at all this weekend, which is cool with me. Anything fun happening by you?
On Monday afternoon we have a volunteer event happening close to our office. So I will head down mid day to that and then we should wrap up around 4:00pm or so which is nice. We will be cleaning up the beach! We did it last year too and it was a lot of fun.

@meghan509! Woo Hoo! 🎉 Congratulations on the loss!! That is awesome!! You have been working hard for that! It sounds like you had a nice weekend planned. I hope it was a good one. I remember you saying last year that you did the beach cleanup. Sounds like fun and a great thing to do.
I ended up working at the office on Friday. There wasn't a construction vehicle to be seen when I left for work.
This weekend was pretty good. I did the usual errands and laundry and then last night we went to my BIL's house for dinner with his family. It was really nice. The one drawback to the weekend was that my son's alternator went out. Not a big deal, but I had to get up early to get him to campus for his classes today. The good news is that that means I get to leave early today.
I got on the scale this morning and I am definitely not pleased with the number. I am doing a 36-40 hour fast to get back on track and then I will be watching calories for the next few weeks like a hawk. I have been really lax lately about those little bits and bites. It has all added up.

Thanks, I am looking forward to the beach clean up. The weather is very nice here. Sunny and cooler and typical September weather for the most part. I have my company t shirt on and comfy pants and sneakers! Got my SPF on too! Going to leave here around 11:30am to go meet the caterer. They are delivering lunch for our event. Planning to be done at 4:00pm which is nice. Will try and get on the highway as soon as we are done to avoid some traffic! Going to hit the gym after work.

Our volunteer event yesterday was a hit! We had a lot of fun. The weather was excellent too. Warm but not too warm and of course sunny. They had us doing a lot of cleaning. We cleaned and hosed down a few different types of boats! Then we cleaned other stuff and finally we were able to some inside stuff where we helped them cut out different types of paper sea creatures with scissors, so they can use them for teaching their younger kids. Very cute!
Let me tell you, my back is pretty sore today and I am a little achy from lifting stuff. Went to the gym last night and for the first time in a while I made it to 10,000 steps! It was a good day.
Today has been busy and frustrating. Trying to catch up from losing a half a work day during a busy time. It is what it is.

I am having a much calmer week than the two before Labor Day. I have caught up on things and I am able to do some of the "I'll do it when I have time" things.
I weighed in this morning and I am down 4 pounds from yesterday morning! I knew I had a lot of extra water weight, but not THAT much! Made 39 hours for my fast. I feel much better now. I also have an appointment with the chiropractor to look at my supplements again and see what I need to change up.
I had to go and get my son during my afternoon break time. The alternator should have come in today and he should be back on the road tomorrow morning!

I am having one of those days where I am chasing stuff and waiting and therefore, mostly in a holding pattern until everything comes through. Sitting here getting a few things done, but it is not crazy. I guess that is good. LOL
Definitely seeing a big uptick in traffic since last week when all schools around here are fully back up and running. Been taking me longer and lots of sitting. A guy I work with came up to me in the parking garage as I was walking in. He's like, I was two cars behind you since you from when you got on the highway! I was like, hopefully I wasn't driving like a jerk. LOL He said no, that's why I was happy I was following you. :) Took me a good 30 minutes to go ten miles. Took him TWO HOURS and he maybe lives less than 20 miles from where I get on. UGH.
Couple of big projects happening this week at work. Hoping to get final sign off on these PowerPoints so I can send them to the printer! Then tomorrow we have a big conference call and I am once again waiting for the PowerPoints. Hurry up and wait!
Been enjoying the Breakstones Cottage Doubles for breakfast this week. Yummy! 13g of protein. Woo hoo!

@Meghan509 I know what you mean about having to wait. I dislike having to sit and wait for a response from someone. At least there are other things to do in the meantime.
I am glad you found a yummy breakfast option. I am not a fan of cottage cheese, but glad you found a good protein source.We are going out to celebrate a family birthday this evening. I am looking forward to a nice dinner and some family time.

I ended up getting all of my answers which is good!! Ended up getting my documents printed by an outside company again. MUCH easier than struggling with our crappy printers here. Got an email that they are heading over soon with my copies. Yea!

Shh! Don't tell anyone, but today has been really quiet! Very few people in the office for a variety of reasons, nobody sending in loads of forms, and even traffic was good. I am, dare I say, bored! I will take it after the chaos of the end of August. LOL I am sure people will be back to their normal nonsense in no time, but I appreciate the down time while I have it. ☺️
@Meghan509 Glad you didn't have to do mighty battle with the printer! And, yes, it does always seem to be a clear day on 9/11.
This morning I planned out my vacation days for the rest of the year. I am not taking too many. I would like to bank some now that I don't have to use it all on my children (whom I love dearly, but still…). Maybe I will take the husband on a cruise for our anniversary next year!

@KateNkognito oooh so nice when quiet days like that happen! We need more easy days in between all the chaos! I totally think you should book a cruise!! Yea!
They are changing our vacation policy up as of January 1, so we won't be able to carry over any days anymore. But, we will get more days, so that is good. My next time off will be on Columbus Day and then after that the week of November 3, we will be down in FL staying at an AirBnB near my Mom. Looking forward to that too. Mid September is here. How did that happen?!
Yes, yesterday went really well with getting those copies done at an outside printer. Very happy and much less stress! Yesterday was productive. Preparing now for a meeting at the end of this month at our Salt Lake City, UT office. Booking transportation, hotel nights and all that fun stuff. The good thing is I don't need to travel to it. I am perfectly happy staying home. LOL
Today is another pretty day. Looking good for the next ten days too, weather wise! We watch the NYC based news since even though we are in Connecticut, we are closer to that major city than to say Hartford, CT. But sometimes the weather can a little different. NYC News was saying Sunday would be a chance of showers but I checked and saw not for us!! WOO HOO.
Nothing planned this weekend. Fine by me. Planning to spend as much time as possible relaxing in and outdoors. Going to do some meal prep too since we are getting low on dinners in reserve. I don't mind it. I do like to cook.

Can't really complain. Had a nice relaxing weekend and the weather has been really nice too. Another sunny one today and not really any humidity which I like. :) Feels like fall is in the air and I am okay with that. I do like the seasons.
Hope you had a great weekend @KateNkognito. We had a nice one. Quiet. Yesterday we treated ourselves to a local restaurant for an early dinner. This place is known for their amazing burgers. We each had one and shared a French fries. Didn't even finish all the fries, it was a lot. Who are we?! LOL

Today has been ok, for a Monday. The good is balancing out the wonky. This weekend was pretty good. I did a LOT of laundry.
@Meghan509 LOL I know exactly what you mean! I went to lunch with my youngest this weekend to a burger place and I only had a few fries. I didn't even finish all my hamburger, which the dog appreciated. LOL And WAY TO GO! on the weight loss! That is fantastic!!
I have been doing pretty well lately with getting more movement and exercise in. I have a fancy scale and I have gained some fat, but also quite a bit of muscle. So I am going to call that a win and just focus on watching my calories for a bit. 🙂
Off to finish up a few things. Fingers crossed that this week stays quiet. I have things to do that I have had to put aside because I have been so swamped. I would like to knock out a bit of that stuff before people lose their minds again.

Well, Tuesday escaped me. I was busy all day, but I didn't get anything done. One of those days. Hopefully, today will be more productive. I can't really complain because I have had such a nice little break lately. This is just more back to normal.

Crazy thing is I am finally caught up and actually a little slow now at work. All good. Been a crazy couple of months. Typically we have August that tends to be slow and you can catch up and catch your breath but this year that never happened. Busy non stop.
Today is another pretty day. Seems like September is a winner around here every year. Not as hot and the humidity is low. Lovely.

Today is a weird day. One of the systems we use is being quirky, so I am doing alternate tasks. Kind of nice. Traffic was crazy good today, too. Yet another example of why I love Thursdays the most! 😊
@Meghan509 Glad you are having a slower time for a while. It seemed like you were rushing about a whole lot for a long while.
I have been having oatmeal for a snack in the afternoon. Very tasty and filling and not a ton of calories. And it has been kind of cool and cloudy lately, so the warm is very nice, too.I brought my lunch today, and I am going to cook at home tonight. We have all been home more since school started, so I am actually cooking again. I need to pull out some crockpot recipes again since we are swinging into fall. I love sweater weather!

Hope you find some yummy crock pot recipes to make @KateNkognito! I like this time of year too. Getting cooler, but not freezing. All good. I think I will pull out my white chicken chili recipe. I am in the mood!
Another pretty day here. Sunny and warm - 75 degrees F and going up to 80 F today. Weekend will be low 70's but no rain expected which is nice.
Traffic was quiet on my way home last night which was a very pleasant surprise!

I got all caught up today from yesterday's technical difficulty. Now I am cleaning my office. I looked around and realized that there are dust bunnies starting to grow in the corners and some overflowing folders and such. So, I watered the plants, put things where they are supposed to go, and I am dusting off my desk and I will use some Febreeze on the way out the door so I have a nice, fresh start on Monday.
@Meghan509 I bet you are growing all sorts of muscle with the exercising you have been doing. I was frustrated with my numbers, but then I looked at the extra data from my scale and realized that some of the weight I have gained was actually an increase in muscle and I am better hydrated, too.

Weekend was good. I cleaned out a TON of clothes from my closet and dressers. Then I went shopping with my brother-in-law's wife to fill in a couple of things that I needed to replace. It was a good weekend.
Today… not so much. I took the dog to the vet because his bad eye looked awful starting yesterday. It is not good. Surgery is an option, but he is 19 and there is no guaranteed good outcome. He also has a lot of other issues going on. It is looking like we will take him in tomorrow to have him put to sleep. I am kind of a mess. I am going to work from home today and tomorrow morning.Sorry to be a downer on a Monday.

I know it is hard. I bet he has had a really good life and he is grateful he's had good owners like you and your family. ❤️
Glad you had a good productive weekend and got some clothing organized and tossed! That is next to do on my list since the weather is indeed changing. Sigh… I have on a summery dress today and sandals, but these days are numbered for sure.

@meghan509, thanks for the kind words. Our little doggie is gone. He was a good pupper and was very loved by a lot of people, a whole bunch of whom were waiting for him when he crossed.
Today is a better day and I am back in the office. I am just now starting to catch up on all the things. Of course the time that I am unavailable is the time that EVERYONE decides to call me!
I am going to have lunch with my husband here in a wee bit, so I have to get moving on a couple of things. Have a good rest of the week!

Busy but good here. Rainy and cool out. Got my size 12 jeans on (they fit!!) and a really old sweater that I according to the label is from 2014!
Traffic was crappy today thanks to the rain but we do need the rain as it has definitely been a dry year again. Sigh… Just looked at the weather for the next few days and it looks like cloudy and chance of showers on and off through the weekend. Can't really complain as we have had some really nice weekend weather for a while now.

Friday!!! This has been a long week and I am definitely ready for the weekend! I have a meeting this morning, finish up a few things, and then I can work on my side project, if I have time.
Thank you @Meghan509. It is strange without the dog in the house. My poor husband has been really lonely without him.
They changed up the construction zone on the way to work and people have lost their minds. It has been different for two weeks and this was the first morning that people seem to have figured it out. 🤦♀️
I am off to do a few things before my meeting and then slide into the weekend. I hope it is a good one all around!!
