πππ***November 2025 WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE***πππ
Happy Dias de los Muertos (Days of the Dead, 1 and 2 November), World Freedom Day (9 November) and World Toilet Day (19 November) around the world and National Nachos Day (6 November), National Sardine Day (24 November), and National Spicy Guacamole Day (14 November), at least in the Estados Unidos.
@enlightenme3Β is still traveling, so I'm posting this month's challenge again.
π Welcome all new first timers to this challenge and "Hello again" to those returning for another month, another year, another round. π
I joined MFP in February 2018. I had been trying on and off to lose some extra weight. MFP gave me the tools I needed to lose 30 pounds, and I have tried to keep it off since then. I've mostly been successful, but there for sure have been times when I slid back. Only continued vigilance will work to be successful, and fortunately that's possible! It can be nice to have short- and medium-term goal to break down a larger goal into more manageable chunks. So a monthly challenge with a weekly check-in is GREAT. I've been contributing to this challenge for several years, and withΒ @enlightenme3Β temporarily away, I'll try to keep it running.
Pick your own goal, check in once per week, and at the very end of the month. Let's keep encouraging each other & staying focused on our individual goals.
You can change the dates to suit you, but try to keep it weekly as it shows off the weekly progress betterπ. I'm setting this month up for Saturday check-in. Do what works best forΒ YOU!
Pick whatever unit suits you -- pounds, kilograms, stones, or even Newtons.

For those unsure how to do your weekly weight input:Β When you want to do your weekly update do a search for your original post, copy and paste as a new post in the add post box then you can edit in your new weekly weight. A lot of people also maintain their post in a notes application on their device and just cut and paste into a new post.
Itβs not a race go at your on pace, imagine where you could be in 6 months time!π
Best of luck to everyone - have fun! ππ

December 6:Total loss for November: Down ? a pound at last! That's only an average of a quarter pound a week, but it's good news. I've been watching a trend. I will keep sticking to it as always. I'm now down 2.5 pounds for the year. That really feels insignificant. That's what it is though.
Keep sticking to it!

Hi everyone,
Here I am, jumping in again to give it another go! My weigh-in days are Wednesdays; so my first weigh-in for this challenge will be Wednesday, October 29th, but I will post this final challenge weigh-in on December 6th to match up with the end. 10/29, 11/05, 11/12, 11/19, 11/26, 12/3 and 12/6.
Although my personal, ideal goal is to get below 150 lbs. by December 6th, since it's a pretty tall order given the short timeframe, I'd be happy to lose at least 6 lbs. by then.
This coming Wednesday I will post my scale pic and matching scale app stats, as well as initial measurements (Bust, Waist, Hips, Potbelly)
My belly is the area where I'm disproportionately larger. (I would like to get this measurement smaller than my hips by 2026!)
Highest weight: 217 lbs. on 2/29/2008.
I've been with MFP off and on for several years.
Current weight: 158.0 on Sunday, 10/26/25, but will post official challenge start weight on Wednesday, 10/29/25.

Hi everyone,
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!π Well, I've been really slacking off lately (a LOT), but now I'm back and will post a brand-new, "Day ONE" beginning Wednesday, November 5th. It doesn't help that now I have a hip problem (left side). Oh, well. I've just got to keep going, even though activity will be challenging until this heals. I'm also having pain on the outside of my right foot, probably because I'm trying to keep weight off my left hip while walking. I feel like I need crutches or something! I will try to be more consistent about posting beginning tomorrow, November 1st. Can hardly believe we are already setting the clocks back this Sunday (most of us, anyway).
Have a great weekend!

I have not missed a monthly challenge in about two years and it has always been a great motivator and accountability resource. I will weigh in tomorrow 11/1/25; with 6-7 lbs left to hit my goal weight. I hope to be in maintenance for 2026 but we will see how the next two months go. I am not a big holiday season eater so that shouldn't be a problem. 67 down and 6ish to go lets do this.

You're most certainly welcome!
I took over posting when the previous instigator (@enlightenme3) went traveling; they never came back. They had taken over from another member who kind of faded away. I'll for sure keep going through the end of 2025, and I might start up again for 2026.3 -

December 6:Total loss for November: Up almost a pound is NOT a good way to start the month. Maybe I should call TODAY my start weight instead of last week, then I don't have to be up today. Nah. I already started, so I can't change that. I'm down 2.6 pounds for the year. Not much, but at least it's not the other direction.
Keep sticking to it!

My name is Donna. I am 65 years old and I live in the Midwest of the US. I am 5β 5β tall. My highest weight was 253 in 2016. My MFP start weight was 235 in 2018. I weigh weekly but also on the 1st and last day of each month for a full monthβs account.

11/01-183.0 β (Trend Weight: 184.1) Below is my Trend Weight graph for the past 6 months. I did really well starting around my birthday (May 10th) through summer. Then in September and throughout Autumn I have really become stagnant and fizzled out. No big permanent gains, just kind of like a firecracker that turned out to be a dud. Itβs time to pick up some steam again, some sparkle. With the holidays directly in front of us, it wonβt be easy but Iβm going to give it the old college try and do my best to navigate it. I wonβt settle for just βnot gainingβ during the holidays. The losses need to pick back up and push their way through. I never know what tomorrow brings, but today I feel ready! New Month, Fresh Start!
π¦π¦π¦π¦ 11/02 β 183.0 βοΈ (Trend Weight β 184.1)I would love to make November a banner month! There is Thanksgiving to contend with but thatβs only One Day, as opposed to December celebrations (and baking, fudge making) that goes on all month long. So November needs to not be written off. Besides, Thanksgiving is near the end of the month, so thereβs that. I mean, what is stopping me right now? I really need to get the heck out of my own way!
