Hello!
Hi! My name is Elantra and I am new to this fitness journey. I am 33 and overweight. The older I get the more I worry about my health and I want to be fit and healthy while I am still young enough to bend my knees. I hope to make some friends who are on this same journey and hopefully motivate each other to go beyond our limits for a better lifestyle!

Hi, Elantra, and welcome!
You are really smart to have that insight: I didn't get around to losing weight until I was 59-60. If I had gotten my routine eating and activity habits into a better place at your age, I think I would've avoiding a number of health problems I did experience, things that are more likely when overweight. (In my case, a couple of examples are joint issues from carrying excess weight around, and even breast cancer in my 40s.)
Now, looking around me at friends and relatives my age +/- maybe 10 years, the healthy weight, active people on average have a much better, happier quality of life than those who've stayed overweight/obese and inactive. My own quality of life is better at 69 than it was even in my mid-40s, because of having first gotten stronger and fitter, and later having lost down to a healthy weight.
I'm wishing you huge success - it's definitely worth the effort, if you ask me.
Best wishes!
