Training while ill

Hi everybody,
Yesterday I came down with some sort of a weird stomach virus thing (thank goodness symptoms occurred after 10km run although my 10km run was very very slow, so arguably I was probably off before then).
So yesterday I was vomiting and feverish the whole day. Today I can hold down some food and my fever seems to have come down but I am still very dizzy and weak.
Thing is, my HM is on next Sun, and I am wondering whether to run tomorrow morning or hold off till the weekend (I currently run three times a week and XT for two).
Any ideas/ suggestions gratefully accepted!
Many thanks

I'd rest.
If your HM is that soon you should already have a decent base built up. If you go out and run sick you're likely to prolong your illness or injure yourself.0 -
Fever needs to be gone completely and you need to be able to hold down food before you should run again. If you aren't having any symptoms tomorrow feel free to try a short run. If you are still sick, give it another rest day.0

Thanks guys.!!
It's been discouraging to have trained so much and have this happen but hopefully the base is enough to pull me through..0 -
Agree with everyone else. You've already put the work in. Rest up and knock your HM dead! Good luck.0

With a week to go, there is nothing you can do to improve your finish, but plenty you can do to hurt it. Not resting completely from this illness is one of them. Rest and heal. The training is already done.0
