New again to the fitness journey

I am on a health journey and trying my best to keep going and not regress again. Things are different this time as I am suddenly a single mother after the unexpected death of my husband. We had been together for 15 years and he passed on 11/10/25. This leaves me and my son alone now. I have health issues that I'm trying to get under control the best I can, but am uninsured at the moment. So I have been doing what I can by trying to eat better and exercise when I can. I do have some mobility issues. I have gone from 255 to 230 so far. Any help, tips, support, or just someone to talk to would be wonderful.

First off. Congrats on the 20 lbs down. Great accomplishment. Then you have my deepest condolences for your loss of your husband. I too have a son , he is 7. I am 46. Also trying to make solid, healthful changes in my life. I really want to work on movement also. Nothing crazy. Just changes that make sense and can be accomished regularly. Goodluck to you !

Welcome back. My deepest condolences to you and your family on the loss of your husband. 🩷 And way to go on the 20 lbs! That's a big deal! I, too, am 'new again' to this journey. My advice to you (and to myself, too!) is to take one thing at a time. It's a LOT to handle if you look at the big picture, but is much more manageable if you focus on one step at a time.

I'm here if you need support!
