How to lose weight
im going to be completely honest I think I’m addicted to food. I have ADHD so I dopamine seek a lot and it’s so hard to not over eat. Any tips at all? I really want to lose weight and get stronger.

Illness complicates life and our ability to act. Behaviors are things we do.
That said, neither illness nor behavior define us as individuals.
If you identify a behavior you engage in but do not like, within the parameters of what you are able to do, you work towards modifying it.
Sometimes you can bootstrap it on your own. Other times outside professional help can be employed!
The forums here and the most helpful post sections have a lot of knowledge and discussions.
It all starts from the decision to make SOME changes.... and can additively feed (at a deficit 😜) from that!

Totally relatable! I find that it helps me to stay busy. If I’m getting my dopamine elsewhere, then it’s easier for me to stick to my calorie budget.
I also eat really spicy food when I notice I’m sensory seeking. Spicy food, in general, tends to be healthier for me and I find that I only need a little bit to satisfy me.
I recently started a low dose of Metformin, which significantly reduced the “noise” around food. In the past, my ADHD meds also helped with that, if you’re interested in going that route.1
