Happy February!
Well, January was 27 weeks long… Happy February!
Monday is being a weird day, as usual. I'mma just roll with it. I am getting things done slowly but surely.
This weekend was pretty good. The temperature was nice, so a lot of the snow melted. It is supposed to be nice and warm this week, so the rest should be gone pretty soon.
I have a whole ton of packages coming this week. It never ceases to amaze me how we run out of random things at the same time. I end up making orders from a bunch of different places and then spend the next week and a half getting packages trickling in.
Nothing else exciting going on here. I am just chugging along with my chubby self. I haven't been losing or gaining lately, so I guess that's something. I think my hormones are messing with my weight, so if I can maintain at this point, I am happy with that.
Have a great week!
Good morning!
I forgot to check in yesterday! Sorry about that. And thank you @KateNkognito for starting the February thread. Totally forgot we were starting a new month a well! LOL
Hope you had a nice weekend and a good meal out with your family. :) We got some shopping done and I took a ride and did some looking around TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and Burlington. I like doing that. The thrill of the hunt. LOL
Yep, hormones are so so fun. Sigh. Sorry they are being a jerk lately. I started hormone replacement therapy (estrogen and progesterone) back in October and I am feeling okay. I feel less inflammation and less pain in my knees which is nice and the scale is moving in my favor so who knows if the HRT is helping my weight loss. But, I will take it.
Yesterday was a pretty quiet day for the most part. Except for having to set up a bunch of new purchase orders since it is a new year. All good.
Last night I had an appointment with my new hair dresser. She is nice. I am happy with my highlights (I am sure are BLOND) LOL and I like the hair cut a lot. The only draw back was she took a long time and I was there way too long. She is a one woman show and I was the only one there but it was a long one. I think I will stay with her but I will plan accordingly next time. Maybe do a Saturday morning appointment or a day when she has other appointments after me and she won't take as long. TBD.
My Mom is progressing at her rehab facility. She got rid of the covid and is feeling better. Just needs to get back on her feet with physical therapy and she thinks she'll be able to come back home in another week or two which is good.
I hope you have a good Tuesday! See you soon.
@Meghan509 Sounds like you had a busy weekend! I bet you look fabulous! Glad the HRT is helping. Hormones are crazy. And sounds like your mom is definitely on the mend. Rehab facilities are the best!
I am having a busy, but productive day. Getting all the weirdness straightened out. Hopefully Thursday will be a good day. (Just realized today is Tuesday, not Wednesday! LOL)
I have a stack of things to do, so I better get back at it! Have a lovely week!
Good morning!!
@KateNkognito LOL sorry you thought today would be Thursday! I can relate! Hope today is easy for you.
Today is going pretty well. Yesterday I had my performance appraisal with my manager and it went well! I am grateful for having a nice manager. She is our Chief HR Officer so performance appraisals, reviews, feedback and growth opportunities are her thing. A couple of my big projects for 2026 got cancelled or shelved so we can "save money" this year. She asked me if I could volunteer for some other things and I said yes. Got to find ways to keep busy and add value!
I had a pretty easy commute in today. It seems like it has been less crazy since all the snow hit a week or two ago. It is almost like there are just less cars, but still volume. Can't put my finger on it.
I forgot to mention that I picked up some new pants for work recently on Amazon. They are basically yoga pants! But, they are the kind that are more "work appropriate" because they have side pockets and back pockets. Let me tell you, they are comfortable. They were on sale for basically $15 each so I bought four in different colors. Today I am wearing the dark grey ones. I like them!! They feel like yoga pants! Woo hoo!
Still cold here but we are supposed to be in the 30s F this week during the day. Nights are still pretty cold. No big snow storms coming through any time soon which is good.
I am just rattling here with not much to say, so I will sign off. Have a good day and see you soon!
Happy Thursday!
Friday Eve is here. Hope your day is going well.
Not too bad here. Just finished lunch. Now getting some MORE Purchase Orders done! Sigh…
Nothing much else going on that is exciting. LOL I have noticed that it is staying lighter longer, so going home is easier when it is turning dark vs. pitch black! :)
Any fun plans for the weekend @KateNkognito? We don't have anything going on. The usual shopping and house stuff. Staying put for the Super Bowl on Sunday. It is supposed to be very cold (again) on Sunday. Like a high of less than 20 degrees F. Not sure that should even be considered a high. LOL
Have a good rest of your day. See you soon!
I just realized that I never posted yesterday and today is over halfway over!
We signed the contract for replacement windows and siding. We went with sage vinyl siding with white trim and the windows will be white on the outside with fake wood grain on the inside to match all the wood trim in the house. Windows will be done sometime in April/May, but because of a huge hailstorm last fall, they are still working on siding jobs for that, so the siding might be a couple of months behind the windows, which doesn't bother us at all.
@Meghan509 We all knew you were awesome at your job, this just confirms it! And I LOVE my yoga/fancy pants! I don't have anywhere to wear them anymore, but they are the BEST!
We are just going to make some snacks and stay home for the Super Bowl. Nothing exciting. I actually thought about getting some fajitas from Chili's catering. Or we might do some BBQ from our local place. We'll see.
Happy Friday Eve! (Even though I keep losing track of the day of the week this week) Stay warm and safe and healthy!
Holy Cow! Traffic was SPECTACULAR today! I need to buy a lottery ticket on the way home because I never get that lucky!
I and a coworker are diving into the filing cabinets today. If I don't return, it's because I am trapped in a mountain of folders! LOL
I hope you have a HAPPY FRIDAY! Stay safe and warm this weekend! I is supposed to be LOVELY here, so I am going to try to spend some extra time outside.
Congrats on the new home stuff @KateNkognito! Good for you guys. 😄 That sage vinyl siding sounds beautiful!! Our house is white with a red front door and side door. LOL We don't use our front door so we have a little sign up that says please come to side door. Lots of people ignore that. Shaking my head. LOL Luckily the delivery peeps mostly pay attention to it which is good.
Congrats on the no traffic day too! Isn't it great when that happens! The last time it happened to me was the day or two after that last big snow storm we had. Lots of peeps stayed home. Door to door in no time!
Not much going on here. Quiet day working remote with not a whole lot to do. Fine by me.
We are planning to pick up some pizza for Super Bowl night, otherwise just nibbling on some cheese and crackers and guacamole (store bought) that we picked up on sale. Yummy.
This weekend is going to be COLD. 😨 Going to run out and get our groceries today. Maybe mid day or right after work. Today is the warmest of the bunch at a whopping 28 degrees F and sunny. UGH. Enjoy your warmer weather. I am jelly! Send it east when you are done with it. 😜
We are supposed to get some more snow next week, mid week but only an inch is showing up as expected for now. We will also get some flurries tonight but no accumulation. Tomorrow is supposed to be very windy.
That's pretty much it. BF had his hair cut with our new hair dresser and he is very happy with it. She went shorter but it looks good. He's cute, so. 😍
Have a good one and see you soon. Happy weekend!
Well, Monday is back… like that on weird coworker that nobody really likes, but you can't make them go away. I almost walked out of the house with my socks in my hand and no shoes this morning… It's that kind of day.
@Meghan509 Sorry about the Patriot's loss. I have a soft spot for the Patriots. I used to work in the academic department for a college football team and several of my players went there, either to play or as staff. I hope you stayed warm! It is supposed to be 75° F here today. Yesterday I spent a LOT of time in the backyard and had to eventually go in because I got sweaty. And also one of the chickens kept trying to eat my sewing. My son got a haircut last week and I didn't notice until Sunday… Mother of the Year right here. 🤷♀️
Off to do all the things. I am about the only one in our department that is here this week. A bunch of people went to a conference and a bunch more work from home on Mondays, so I will be getting all the phone calls.
Have a great week!!
Good morning,
Happy Monday. Grumble grumble. 🙄
The good news is I am off on Monday, February 16 for the President's Day holiday which is nice. Four day week coming up for next week. And Valentine's Day is on Saturday so that is nice. My BF and I celebrating our anniversary yesterday. Eighteen years together! Where does the time go??!! 😮
The Super Bowl result was not what I had in mind, but that's okay. My team gave it their all even up until the bitter end. Just wasn't our day. Moving onward and upward. 🙃
Weekend was relaxing and very cold. We stayed in all day Saturday and only went out yesterday to do a few quick errands and to pick up a pizza at a local place nearby. Then we went right back home. Today is supposed to get in to the 30's F which is nice. Never thought I would be excited about 30 but here we are.
Spoke with my Mom on Friday. She is progressing along at the rehab and getting stronger and back on her feet. It is just so eye opening how older folks regress so quickly when they get sick.
Haven't been to the gym in a while due to the cold and bad weather. Probably next weekend we'll get back to it. Today I have a six month check up with my MD. I used to dread these check ups but now that I am back down at a better weight, they are not so bad. I like my MD a lot. He's a really nice person.
I hope you have a good day and a good week. Right as I am posting this, I see you commented too. Hi! LOL See you soon.
Well, yesterday was about what I expected. BUT our new office baby started yesterday. He is so adorable! I got to hold him for a long time this morning. 👶
We have someone who is getting ready to retire that has been here for a long time and I am, at least temporarily, taking over their tasks. And we have someone else that has left that had a bit of a mess in their files. I have taken it upon myself, for my own sanity so I can figure out where to start and answer questions when people call, to go through EVERYTHING. File cabinets, electronic files, all the things. I built a beautiful spreadsheet. I am that kind of geek. I love a good spreadsheet.
@Meghan509 Glad you had a good checkup! And that your mom is doing better. 😊 When you see older people having a hard time bouncing back, it really makes you want to get yourself in shape now when it is easier.
Ok, I have a few things to do before I get the baby back. Have a lovely rest of the week!
Checking in on the earlier side since I totally forgot to check in yesterday! LOL Sorry about that.
Sounds like you are doing well, @KateNkognito and tell me more about the office baby!? Is that a colleague who is bringing in their little one?! How cute. Enjoy!! Good luck with the colleague retiring and taking on their tasks. I hope everything works out well. And I am sure your manager will be happy you are helping out. :) That always looks good to the higher ups!
This week has been a quiet one. My main manager is traveling for our BOD Meeting, so all of the higher ups here in our office are gone for a few days. When that happens other people become MIA and don't come in all the days they are "supposed to". Sigh. Whatever.
Traffic has been really kind too. Actually had time to make a stop on the way in and still arrived early. Who knew.
Another positive is the temperature is FINALLY acting more normal. We are in the 40's F and it is great because we need all of this old snow to melt. It was feeling like we were not going to see our grass again until the spring.
I hope you have a good day today! See you soon!
@Meghan509 Yes! Employees can bring their baby in for up to a year. He is ADORABLE!! And now he has half a dozen new grandmas/aunties. LOL We all take turns getting baby time. I am also wading through all the new stuff, slowly but surely. Since petroleum prices are so low, there aren't a lot of new things coming in, so I can keep up with all of it. However, that also means that revenue is down. So there is also not funding to hire a replacement for people that leave. When it picks back up, there is no way I will be able to do everything. But they will be able to hire someone new, so that will work out.
Ok. I am off to dive into files and see where we are. Have a great rest of the week!
Oh that is so cool @KateNkognito about the new baby policy!! Love it.
I also know exactly what you mean about taking on stuff while it is quiet. We have slowly built up to four Executive Assistants in our office but we still do not have a Receptionist / Office Manager. We had a temp for a while last year at this time and she was great, but she was bored. LOL Not really enough going on to justify a full time person sitting at the front desk. So that means we (EA's) need to pick up the slack. We take turns checking the mail and distributing it, stocking the kitchens, and ordering supplies, etc. It works. We are a smaller office of around 50 people and two to three days a week people are remote.
Traffic has been oddly low key yet again. Last night door to door in 20 to 25 and same for this morning. Where is everybody?! LOL
Things are pretty quiet here again. Sometimes I have to struggle to try and look busier, which is not fun. Shuffling papers around on the desk, you know. Not a good look. LOL
We are closed on Monday and I am looking forward to a four day weekend. Also should FINALLY not be as cold which is nice. Slowly getting there. Spring is around the corner!!
Have a good day! See you soon.
I got things done and got more baby time, so today is a good day. AND, I realized I still have my second caffeine!
I got my "have tos" done this morning and now I am back in the files getting things sorted. Hoping to be through the files by the end of the day tomorrow so I can send the spreadsheet to my boss when he gets back on Monday.
The nice part about here is that even if your work is done we have a HUGE document library that needs to be gone through, scanned, and updated in the database. So there is never a lack of something to do. I hate being bored. It is never a good thing. I get restless. Everyone suffers. LOL
Have a great weekend! (wait, it isn't Friday) Happy Friday Eve!
Happy Friday @KateNkognito! Long weekend for me, so I am excited to have no more alarms until Tuesday morning. LOL
That is cool about your job where even if you get caught up with stuff, you can keep busy with other stuff. For me, I have to come up with things to keep me going. Like cleaning, sorting, or purging.
Today I had some bloodwork done first thing before signing on for work. Not sure if I mentioned previously that I am seeing a nutritionist, one that my MD referred me to. She is part of the hospital he is affiliated with. I started seeing her last July via tele-health appointments and I am scheduled to see her again on Friday, February 20th in the AM (from home). My MD said to get the bloodwork done before my appointment with her so he could forward it. Last time I had bloodwork was in July, so it will be good to see where my numbers are.
Then I have a mid day appointment at the Derm for my six month skin cancer screening. Fun, fun, fun. I was supposed to have it a few weeks back but they had a scheduling conflict. All good. I am grateful I can do these appointments on my working remote days.
Not much else going on here. Planning to take it easy over the weekend. No big plans or anything. Colder today but will be more normal in the coming days and next week. We deserve a break!
Have a good weekend! See you soon. (Most likely on Tuesday). :)
Happy Friday!
I have been slogging through the files… I thought it would go a LOT faster than it is. Oh, well, keeps me busy, off the streets, and out of the gangs. LOL
@Meghan509 The one good thing to come out of COVID was much more flexibility with working at home. That is a big reason I left teaching. I have family that is older and I need to be able to work remotely occasionally and take a day or two off to be able to help them out. And I am no spring chicken myself, so when I need to go to an appointment, I can. I have been taking advantage of my chiropractor's nutrition and wellness visits. I got bloodwork done when I went to my yearly well-woman exam and I have a phone appointment next week to discuss the results with the chiro. The doctor was not as helpful as I had hoped, so I am looking into ways to get all the tests that I wanted that she wouldn't run.
Ok. Well, these things are NOT going to sort themselves (as evidenced by some of them being 5+ years old). Have a great long weekend!
Hope you had a great weekend, @KateNkognito! Mine was good. It was nice having an extra day off for Monday. Feeling good about the winter progressing along and half of February is already behind us. Phew. Our weather has been decent. Went to the gym on Saturday and Monday and am feeling good about that. We will keep going as much as we can because I do think it helps with energy and weight loss and all that fun stuff.
Yep, I totally get flexibility and how teaching is strictly in person for the most part. Unless you send your kid to a fully remote school (I have a former colleague doing that with her son). He was dealing with a bunch of medical issues and once Covid hit they transitioned him in to a fully remote school. It also works well for them because they are both fully remote. So interesting to see how we've all changed since the pandemic. :)
I do wish my Mom was closer because she will be 82 this May and as you know has had her share of health issues in the past few years. But, the thing is she can't really afford to move back up here. Places near us have multi year waiting lists. And unfortunately our place is too small, she can't do the stairs, and she needs a handicapped access bathroom / shower etc. etc. etc. Just have to try and make the best of it.
I hope your doctor visits and blood work goes well! My numbers did come back better, which is good. Only thing I have to watch is my cholesterol. Even though I am eating better and losing weight, it has been going up slowly. UGH. I will see what the nutritionist says on Friday morning when I talk to her.
Hope your Tuesday is a good one! See you soon. :)
I freaking love my chiropractor! For YEARS I have said something is off with my thyroid. All the doctors would just run the TSH and tell me it was fine. She took one look at it and said it isn't. So, I FINALLY have lab orders to go and get a full thyroid panel done! I am so excited!
@Meghan509 Sounds like you had a really good, long weekend! I totally get what you mean about your mom. I love my parents and wish they were closer, but our area doesn't have near the services that theirs does and they have a house that is much more accessible. I hope your nutritionist appointment goes well on Friday.
I also wanted to share an app that a friend shared with me because her daughter is having a rough time, so my friend started using it, too. It is called Finch. It gamifies self-care/health/mental health goals. It's pretty cute. I also realized using it how much better I am doing than I was two years ago.
Anyway, off to do all the things. This morning I got side tracked from my project with a couple of other things. Hoping to get them done and back to it.
Have a great rest of the week!
@KateNkognito congrats on getting good news regarding your Thyroid panel from your chiropractor! I hope it works out and you get some answers! ☺️ Thanks for the app recommendation. I will check it out!
I have had tests on and off over the years too for my thyroid and they all have come back with "everything's fine". Blah blah blah. Even had one doctor tell me he thought my neck was swollen and to check it. Came back normal then too. It is frustrating. I think in my case, I am just SO sedentary and I have slow metabolism. I am my Mother's Daughter. She is the same way. When I am "off the rails" and not eating healthy it is super easy for me to gain or to not lose. Very hard to maintain. I also found it helps me to move in some form, even a little. I am trying. That is all I can do.
I have around 30 pounds left until I get to my goal weight. I am going to start doing some weight lifting when I get down a little more. Want to build muscle so I burn more and keep my eating everything in moderation and not going off the rails or over doing it. Here are my stats, for accountability: High Weight: 244 (ouch), Current Weight: 182, Goal Weight: 150. Height: 5'4". Age: 53. My highest weight was in July of 2024. I got back on track and lost a little then crapped out. I really restarted officially around a year ago. Hope to hit goal weight this summer. Slow and steady… Fingers crossed.
Traffic is still behaving itself which is nice. It could be that some schools around here take this week off for winter break. Crazy how that affects the highway.
Work is slow today. I am pretty much shuffling papers around. 😐️ Feels quiet too, with people working remotely.
Rainy day here. Let it melt the snow!!! That is pretty much it from here. I hope you have a good day. See you soon.
Well, since we are getting all accountable here, I am 5' 1" on a good day, and 182 when I got up this morning. Highest weight was 188. I would like to get to 128. I have been as low as 155 in 2020. Last summer I was 165 but then started gaining again and then just gave up. I haven't been able to really lose weight since I had my second child… he is 19. I am SO hoping I find a solution! If I fast like a monk, watch my eating like a hawk, and really exercise, I can lose weight. But that is a LOT and it is still VERY slow. Fingers crossed.
@Meghan509 You are doing really well!! That is pretty impressive and inspiring! You can do it! That sounds like a great plan.
I would like to build some muscle, but right now I am very out of shape and need to build back up to it again. I have been walking almost every day and doing a little yoga. I will add some muscle building when I feel a bit stronger.
I am still slow at work, so I am doing side quests. Unfortunately, I keep having to take things to the lawyers this week… 😮 There are going to be some unhappy campers, but they should have gotten their lives together a long time ago.
Ok. Off to tame the chaos. Have a great rest of the week!
Work is definitely busier today then it was yesterday! But, that's okay because yesterday felt DEAD! LOL
Yea - we are 182 pals @KateNkognito! LOL Yes, I was almost at goal back in the summer of 2020 and then things started going off the rails and fully went off in 2021. Got close but knew and felt that Keto was just too darn restrictive and not sustainable (it was) and up and up and up the weight went. Then my Dad got sick and eventually passed in 2023 more excuses not to eat well or exercise. Sigh… Took until 2024 to really start to get back on track. It is never easy.
Good for you for doing the yoga. I have always been interested in it. I may really try and attend one of the yoga classes offered at my gym one day. :)
So my doctor's office called me this morning. It was the nurse. He's like the doctor is concerned about your cholesterol, it's gone up. He's like the doctor said if you commit to exercising and eating well this will help lower it. I was like well yeah the doctor also knows that I have BEEN doing that but it is not helping. I decided to go ahead and get an Rx for a statin. I feel like my body is just making more cholesterol for some reason. I eat oatmeal at three days a week and I eat a fair amount of fiber. Not helping!! Fingers crossed that this helps. Another pill to take, go me! Officially part of the old folks club now. Sigh… My BF said welcome to the club when I texted him to tell him. He's been taking a statin for over a year now and it has helped him. He is almost at his goal weight. I am happy for him.
Cloudy here and a rain snow mix is coming tomorrow for most of the day but it doesn't sound like it will really be anything to worry about. Same for Sunday and Monday but again don't think it will be a biggie. Temps are not supposed to crazy low. Fingers crossed. Still hoping the last snow continues to melt. It's been a heck of a winter for sure.
Alrighty, let me finish up a few things before my colleague comes down for lunch. Where did the morning go?!
Have a good Friday Eve! See you soon.
I got my blood draw done this morning! I am super excited, but also I can't believe it has taken DECADES to finally get this done. Even people up to shenanigans with their paperwork can't bring me down today!
@Meghan509 Welcome to the Old Folks Club. We eat dinner at 4 PM and watch Wheel of Fortune at 6. In bed by 9. And you will be issued a pill organizer shortly, if you don't already have one. LOL I hope the weather isn't too bad for you. We are supposed to get a wee bit of snow starting tomorrow, but nothing much and not too cold.
I am almost done with the first section of my project. Boss Man is happy and it has been keeping me from being bored, so it's a win all around!
Have a great Friday Eve! Stay healthy!
Happy Friday! I am just chuggin' along with my chubby self. It is COLD today and might snow a little tonight. I am ready to hide in bed under the covers with a good book… sadly, it is not even close to the end of the day yet! LOL
I had a great drive to work this morning and I am making progress on this project. I am hoping to make it through the end of this drawer today. (which means nothing to you, but it would be a big chunk done! LOL)
I packed my lunch today using Souper Cubes leftovers and I am in love even more than I was before! I also think I might get a Hot Logic lunch box. It takes a wee bit to microwave from semi-frozen, and I don't want to take up that much time in the shared microwave.
Have a great weekend! Stay warm!
End of the work day here. Almost forgot to post! LOL
@KateNkognito congrats on the blood work getting all done. Fingers crossed that you finally get some answers!
I had my appointment today with the nutritionist. I vented my frustration about my cholesterol and she confirmed that it is most likely going up due to menopause! Boo… Never a dull moment! Picked up my new Rx last night and took it at bed time. Fingers crossed!
Yep, we are proud members of the Old Folks Club around here too. LOL! We head upstairs at around 9:00pm and then watch TV or read until falling asleep on the earlier side! Too funny. BF and I both have pill organizers! Vitamins are included too. LOL
Hope your day went well and everybody behaved. The weather is acting up again around here. Weather reports are showing snow coming Sunday and Monday. Possibly six inches when all is said and done. Bah. Just as it was starting to melt! I can't wait for spring!
Tomorrow is supposed to be a nicer day. Sunny and 40's F. You know it is bad when 40's excite me!
Hope you have a great weekend! See you soon.
Good morning? That tickle in my nose yesterday turned into the beginning of a sinus infection, but I have taken all the things this morning and it seems to be clearing out. 🤞
@Meghan509 I am glad that you got to talk to the nutritionist. Sorry about the cholesterol. At least you can manage it pretty easily. 🙂 I hope the snow isn't too bad for you. Never mind. I just looked at the radar. Stay safe and warm!
Off to do my actual job! I am excited I actually have things to do that I am supposed to be doing!
Ugh, feel better @KateNkognito! Good, glad you got the sinus issue under control. My go to is deep breathing over hot water. Soothing and nice!
Yes we are definitely experiencing heavy snow and wind at the moment. Please say a prayer for us that our power does not go out. That is the most scariest thing to me, that and damage from falling branches. UGH. We have everything charged up and are hoping for the best. I am so tired of snow. To look on the bright side, we are expected to have a sunny and warm weekend - mid 40's F.
This storm went from nothing to a big deal literally over night. I reread my post from a few days ago where I mention it being no big deal at the time. Now we are dealing with blizzard warnings all day long. Crazy… At this rate, tomorrow may also be a stay inside due to snow type of a day.
I hope you had a nice weekend. Ours was good. Went to the grocery store on Saturday mid day. Got all the stuff. Planned to be in from Saturday PM onwards and here we are. Got some cooking done yesterday so we won't have to worry about it during the week for the most part. Just freezing, unfreezing, or reheating depending on the meal.
Alrighty, back to work. Hope you have a good day and a nice week ahead. See you soon.
@Meghan509 I hope you are safe and warm and you didn't lose electricity! We have a gas generator and a solar generator because this is the Midwest and we lose power when the wind blows too hard… and that happens a lot.
I have taken all the things for my sinuses and I am making it through. There are some nasty things going around. If I have to get anything, I will take this. It could be much worse!
Have to run. I actually have quite a bit to do today. 😊
Happy Tuesday!
Thank you, @KateNkognito! I am working remotely again today. Yesterday, mid morning our office sent a note out saying that we are to plant to work remotely again for Tuesday, due to the storm. Schools are closed again today. We have dug out and thankfully we did not lose power! Let me tell you, the wind was blowing and the snow was flying in every direction. Phew. Feeling thankful. 🙂 I totally understand the generator thing. Lots of folks around here have them. I would love to look in to one for us. Can't hurt! The weather report says more snow flurries tomorrow AM but it looks like only one inch accumulation. I am planning to go in to the office as usual. Sigh…
Thanks for your kind words. I hope you feel better soon. Sinus pain stinks! Stay well!
I have been enjoying my second day in a row at home, not going to lie. LOL I like my comfier clothes. Got to enjoy some nice hot oatmeal today for breakfast. Yummy!
Today has been a little busy but I don't mind. The day is half over. That flew!
I hope you have a good one. See you soon.
So it was snowing AGAIN here this morning… We knew it was coming but we thought it would be a minor light one. I decided to go in to the office as usual because I have a big call with a PPT and a video that I need to run this AM. I don't feel comfortable at home doing that. :( Seems the snow and sleet has stopped and now it is just cloudy. Keeping an eye on another snow possibility for Monday in to Tuesday. Tuesday will most likely be another work from home day based on the three to four inches expected. Sigh…
The roads were indeed crappy but the main highway was good. People were taking it easy. It was wet and a little slushy. Took me about an hour or so to get in. In the beginning I did skid a little and I contemplated turning around a few times, but I decided to stick with it. Sigh… My boss tried to come in and turned around. A few others are here today but it is quiet and I already told my boss I would like to get home before rush hour and she gave me the okay. :)
I hope the weather is better in your neck of the woods, @KateNkognito! Sheesh. The good news here STILL is the next couple of days, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday are supposed to be in the 40's and sunny. Fingers crossed.
I hope you have an easy day today! See you soon.
