It would be very helpful to support syncing water intake data between MyFitnessPal and the Apple Health app. Many users track their hydration throughout the day, and Apple Health already acts as a central place for health and wellness data from multiple apps and devices.
Currently, while MyFitnessPal can sync various health metrics with Apple Health, water intake data is not always shared between the two platforms. Enabling this integration would allow hydration data logged in MyFitnessPal to automatically appear in Apple Health, keeping all health data consistent and centralized.
This feature would benefit users who rely on Apple Health as their primary health dashboard and use multiple apps to track nutrition, activity, and hydration. It would also eliminate the need to manually log water intake in multiple apps.
Ideally, the integration would:
- Sync water intake logged in MyFitnessPal to Apple Health.
- Optionally allow Apple Health hydration data to sync back to MyFitnessPal.
- Automatically update in the background to keep data consistent across both platforms.
Supporting hydration syncing would improve the overall user experience and make MyFitnessPal integrate more seamlessly into the Apple Health ecosystem.
