Good day, My name is Rhonda. I’m not new to MFP. However, I’m new to this community. I’m 66 years old and want to be 66 . Can anytime relate?
Hi, Rhonda, and welcome!
You're 66 y/o and want to be 66 y/o? If that's what you mean, that seems reasonable to me.
I'm 70, and don't particularly want to be 66, because 70 is going OK for me so far . . . plus as a survivor of pretty advanced-stage cancer around 25 years ago, and a cancer widow, I'm pretty clear that the only realistic options are getting older or not being here at all. Alive is a really good start on the rest of my day! 😆
In terms of how I feel . . . well, the more healthy and lively the better, but that's not all about age alone, right? Functionally, I feel better and more capable than I did in my mid-40s before the cancer treatment. Becoming more active exercise-wise after treatment, then reaching a healthy weight at age 60 after decades of overweight/obesity: Those had big quality of life payoffs for me.
Whatever your goals, wishing you success here!
