Does anyone know if it’s better to mix chia seeds into water or into yogurt. Thanks!
I add a couple of teaspoons of chia seed to my overnight oats. It makes them a bit more interesting and plays into my daily 'how many plants can I eat'? game, so mine get soaked in soya milk.
I used it with water, but you can also mix it with yogurt. The purpose is to consume the chia seeds in any form
Doesn't matter. There are few or no cases where it's essential to combine foods in particular specific ways. We can eat them in ways we personally enjoy them.
Also, I feel obligated to say this because quite a few people seem to think it's essential to eat chia seeds in particular. Yes, they have some good nutrients, but they're not the only source of those nutrients. If you find ways you enjoy eating chia seeds, by all means eat them. But if you don't like them, don't eat them - it'll be fine.
Chia seeds swell tremendously in liquid, and can be presoaked in any liquid.... so would say, whichever you want for that time.
I like to mix enough with yogurt to have a few meals ready. I often need to add more liquid later because the teaspoon of chia seeds soaked up so much.
