Add Magnesium and Phosphorus Nutrients to MFP Database

For individuals with kidney issues, tracking Phosphorus and Magnesium is important. Any search or AI inquiry will detail and substantiate what difficulties can arise from consuming too much of either. Several requests have been made over time, especially for phosphorus tracking. None have been acknowledged. Please add these to your MFP database.

The database information comes from product labels and I have never seen either of these specified on nutrition labels so it is not possible to track them.

They are not required to be listed on nutrition labels, but sometimes are (especially magnesium). People with CKD read ingredients and use food lists from doctors and dietitians to track values. The National Kidney Foundation has requested the FDA to update nutrition labels to include phosphorus.
