May is going to be a crazy month! My daughter graduates on Friday in Ohio, and is moving into an apartment since she’ll now be studying for her master’s degree. Our son is moving into a new apartment closer to his job in Detroit… he works for the Pistons… and he wants to save gas.

The pool and yard keep beckoning me to come out and cut the grass, edge the lawn, clean the pool, pull weeds, power wash the house, and weed n feed the yard…. But it’s raining 🌧️.

The busy season at work has kicked into full gear at work as well… take a deep breath and remember:

1 project/ event at a time

Put my health and wellness first so I can help others.

My continuing goals: Drink more than 64 oz of water, 25+ grams of fiber, and 100+ grams protein. On days when my fiber intake is 30+ grams I HAVE to drink way more water.

April was better than March for me ended the month at 244.2 which put me down 6.5 more lbs. I'm so excited to be in the 240's after years. 230's are my next weight goal.

For an NSV I'd like to start jogging on every walk. I get nervous that people will stare, but I need to get over it.

FIRST HALF OF THE MONTH:

🎠🎠🎠 05/01- DNW ↔️ (Trend Weight: DNW) No-weigh Friday. I was really tempted to hop on the scale but it would not have been until noon and I knew it would result in a false low today and, therefore, a false high tomorrow. So had to put on my patience hat. It was a much better day yesterday with bad snacks, but less of them. Lunch was compliance excellence. Dinner was mostaccioli and garlic bread, both easy for me to eat at this time. My daughter made the meat sauce with meat ground so small and smooth I was able to eat it and enjoy. Tonight is tacos which my DGS loves. Either that meat has to be pulverized again, or I’ll be eating some of the leftover mostaccioli. I continue to rely on pasta, breads or rice which is against the low carb I usually practice. This has raised my glucose levels so it’s not good for me at this point. But I’m eating and holding it down. What I really need to focus on is the snacks. There are some healthier ones I could be eating again, but I’m feeding my cravings with my current snacks. Not good. Here we are, in a new month with so many new opportunities. Hi everyone! Welcome to a new month when the season is blooming! For health, I plan to track intake, strength training and weight loss.

My goal for May is quite aggressive, as I feel I built a lot of credits through diet and exercise in April, it did not just yet all reach the scale. I feel I have laid a solid foundation to continue to lose and approach my goals. A lot of this is extra fluid and inflammation too, so it should pass with the right approach.

🎠🎠🎠 05/02- 198.6 ✅ (Trend Weight: 198.1) Weight down a smidgen which is more like a natural fluctuation. Trend weight just keeps going up and up. Yesterday was a cold, gray, gloomy day. It snowed for the 2nd day in a row though the snow didn’t stick. Crazy for May but not completely unusual here in Northern Michigan. Just a few day prior to this it was 80 degrees. In Michigan they say that if you don’t like the weather, wait just a minute and it will change. So true! Tacos and rice yesterday for dinner. Managed to keep portions small. I’m probably retaining fluid today. Everything tasted so salty.

Hi, I'm Marguerite, Kind of a newbie here. I used to be active on myfitnesspal, YEARS ago, but it's been years since I've participated. I lost about 60lbs a few years ago, going from 200lbs to 140. I was happy at that weight. I managed to maintain it without really trying, for a couple of years, but noticed i was starting to gain about this time last year. I kept meaning to nip it in the bud, but never really did. Now i'm up a good 30lbs and want to get it back off.

My main goals are:

10,000 Steps every day

60oz of water(I know it should probably be more, but I've been struggling to get even 40oz, so 60oz will be a good goal)

Track my food(no real 'diet' just eating better and keeping track of what and how much)

I managed to accomplish all of this yesterday. So I'm pretty pleased so far!
