Good evening. I'm so glad to be here. I'm 68 and feeling Great💪🏽🏋🏽💪🏽
I started lifting weights almost a year ago. I am officially the bionic woman, having had hip replacements on both sides and a compartmental knee replacement. I had carpal tunnel and trigger finger microscopic release on both right and left hands.
With all that said, I didn't do much training after the hip replacements because I feared that I would have to have a revision, which I absolutely do not want to have. I found out in 2024 that I was sarcopenic by my physical therapist after having my hand surgeries.
Along with having osteoarthritis and not wanting to have osteoporosis, I needed to start picking up some heavy weights and getting at it! I have been training for almost 10 straight months, and I am pleased to say that I am no longer sarcopenic👏🏽 My husband and 3 grown kids are my biggest cheerleaders🙌🏽
I'm still trying to find my way around using the app, but there's so much support for which I'm so thankful for. I'm still trying to get my triceps to catch up😆
