Hope you had a nice weekend. Mine was good. The weather is finally acting a little more normal and warmer as it should be. Today is mid 60's F. Should be in the 80's F. The heat is on the way…
We sat outside on both Saturday and Sunday which makes me happy!
My next big project at home that I need to tackle is switching over my clothing and shoes. I have some stuff out but not everything. I hate the in between because it is just so disorganized. I am going to start tonight after work. Ugh.
Work is busy, busy, busy… I have the two meetings this week with people in town. Everybody is asking for changes to transports last minute. On Friday afternoon after 4:00pm!!, our office landlord sent a note saying that they would like to begin a restroom renovation Tuesday night on our 16th floor. That means everybody will be coming down to the 15th floor to use the restrooms on our floor. Not looking forward to that because our ladies room already has messy people using it. And now we will add all of our women to the chaos. Oh boy. Going to be a long couple of weeks!

Today has been pretty decent. I started the new month and then got side tracked… almost all day. I am getting to the end of my to do list.
We had a good weekend. My husband's cousin was here so they could go to the state high school track meet. It is always nice to catch up with family. The weather was a little stormy at night, but beautiful during the day. It is supposed to do that for the rest of the week. We need the rain, so I won't complain at all!

Today started off with my email not working on my company cell phone. Normally not a huge deal but this is a busy week with visitors, meetings, office renovations, etc. My IT guy was able to fix it. Had to uninstall and reinstall Outlook. Sigh…
Slept really crappy last night or I should say this morning. I woke up at 4:30am to use the rest room and then could NOT fall back asleep. Ended up reading until the alarm went off at 6:15am. UGH. I feel okay now but later I may crash and burn. Thoughts and prayers. LOL
The weather is pretty nice here, which is good. I managed to switch over some of my clothing last night, so I am wearing a light summer type of sweater. An old one that now fits which is cool. Tried on my size eight pants and they were not happening. Still rocking my tens for now. All good. I can't complain.
I hope today is a good day and not a crazy one! I will see you soon.
@Meghan509 Must be something in the web. Our internet had to be turned off because the server room AC quit yesterday… but it was still working for some people. Glad your IT guy got it fixed! I hope you get a good night's sleep tonight! Size ten is awesome!! And "shopping" your closet for smaller clothes is always great!
It is rainy and gross today, but also warm, so it just feels swampy outside.
Super thankful that this week has been so much quieter. Last month was INSANE. AND I hear through the grapevine that a new person is coming in the not too distant future. Help is on the way!

Today the AC is better. I don't know if they actually got it fixed or just re-routed some air. Either way I am neither hot nor freezing.
Still quiet here. knocks on wood I hope it stays that way for a while. I am actually able to help someone else out with one of their to do items.

I am back! Digging out from a crazy inbox lately. Kind of like digging and can't find the bottom! UGH.
Thank you @KateNkognito! Yes, everybody has arrived and are here on site! Everybody will be heading out tomorrow by end of day. Then I prepare PPTs and binders the following week for another meeting taking place the week of June 15. Luckily I just have to worry about PPTs for that one. My colleague takes care of transports, food and beverage, and lodging for some! Phew.
Today I was invited out to lunch with a team I assist. They welcomed a new person and she's really nice. We walked to and from the restaurant today and it was sunny and warm (85 degrees F) and pretty much a perfect day! Not humid! Lunch was nice.
That is pretty much it from here. Little over an hour to go and then it is time to call it a day. Phew.
Hope they are being nice to you there today. :) LOL I like it when it is a more manageable type of day!

I have to run so I can get all the things done. I still think I need a hat rack or a nametag with a rotating list of all the things I do right now. At the very least they need to supply me with a variety of carbs, chocolate, and caffeine. LOL

Yes, everybody is in the process of leaving and it is wonderful! Honestly, I shouldn't complain because these groups were not too bad at all. A couple of "can you move my car pick up earlier" or "when is lunch coming" type of thing. Manageable!
Everybody seems to be adjusting to the construction going on in the restrooms on our 16th floor. I see a lot more of my colleagues from upstairs!
I only have six unread emails! That is HUGE for me! Ever since last week when we came back from the long Memorial Day weekend it was pretty much always in the double digits by a lot.

Today is the Monday-est Friday ever! I just don't feel good today. And I woke up just before 6:30 thinking that it was Saturday, because my alarm didn't go off... turns out I managed to shut it off in my sleep. This is why I have two alarms. If it wasn't Friday, I might quit my job… oh, wait! I have bills to pay…

I am going to see The Amazing Digital Circus finale at the movie theater with my eldest son because I am a cool mom. It is really dumb, but he doesn't want to go by himself. Which reminds me, I have to watch the last 4 episodes before Sunday… wish me luck!

I know what you mean @KateNkognito! I hope you feel better. I am just a little tired. Lately I have that fun knack of waking up at 5:00am to use the restroom and then not being able to fall asleep again afterwards. Alarm is supposed to go off at 7:30am on a WFH day. Sigh. I have been a little busy today. I logged on a little early and by 9:00am I had already spoken with one of my colleagues (on camera) twice.
We will be driving to see BF's parents and family this weekend on Saturday. His brother, wife, and three kids are visiting. That should be nice. Have not seen them in a while.
Weather is good here. Sunny and 82 degrees F at the moment. I just looked at our weather and it looks like it is NOT going to rain at all this weekend! WOW. Cool. We need a nice sunny weekend.

We had a nice one. The weather was really good!
Friday night after work we sat outside on the patio. Perfect weather. Warm and sunny and no humidity.
Saturday afternoon we drove out to see BF's parents. His brother and family are in town from Arizona. His wife and kids were not there as they were visiting with her parents and family who live nearby. The kids got to see their cousins which is nice. Honestly it was nice to have one one one time with BF's brother because then we really can catch up and visit with less interruptions. :)
The weather was nice here but funny thing happened on Saturday night. We got some rain and storms that came through Saturday night. We were still with his family when the rain came through. We got in the car and drove home with no issues. The rain had stopped by then. Sunday morning we are watching the news and we see how big the storm really was and the area right next to his parent's house had gotten hit pretty hard with branches, debris, and all that fun stuff. Then closer to home, over by my office there was a flag pole that caught on fire because it caused an electrical fire and there was a power outage in the area for a while! We missed it all! We had a few minor twigs in our driveway and our plastic outdoor chairs tipped over, but that was it!
Yesterday we got the grocery shopping and the laundry done and were able to sit outside for a bit again.
I have started changing over all of my winter clothing in to summer clothing and doing my shoes. I have so much stuff that it is a big royal pain in the you know where. Should have it all done by dinner time tonight.

The movie with my son was not bad. I never would have seen it or the series on my own, but I didn't dislike it.
Got all my laundry done. It seemed like a LOT this week as I got some new socks and stuff and also replaced some pajamas that have seen better days. Side note: I highly recommend the Edie Bauer pajama sets. Super soft and comfortable!
I am getting perilously close to being caught up… which means someone is about to send me a whole bunch more stuff. LOL

Traffic was crazy heavy but also crazy fast. I don't know what was up with people today, but I got to work in near record time!
Today I got to commit an act of lawful evil against someone that is consistently annoying. It makes several people in the office quite happy. This person annoys a lot of people. Don't irritate me. It doesn't end well for you. 😂
I need to go shopping this weekend for some new tops. I went through and pulled out some things that are starting to get worn. I also need some foundational garments. I really dislike shopping for those, but it is past time.
Work is looking pretty chill for the day. Shh. Don't tell anyone or they will start calling me with their chaos.

Thanks for the pajamas tip! The ones I am wearing lately are from Old Navy. They were on sale but they are cheapie. The elastic waist is crimping even though they are not too tight. Annoying. Shopping is fun! I managed to get through a lot of clothing sorting. I tried a bunch of old stuff on and got more organized, so I can have the stuff that fits front and center and the stuff that is too big or too small to the side where it is not in my way.
Work has been nuts lately. Forgot to tell you about my IT issue on Friday afternoon. I was helping to send out a newsletter type of email that goes out to a big distribution. Outlook was not cooperating. The email had photos in it and they were not showing up, they were "x'd" out and said "can not be displayed". I sat on the phone for two hours with IT before another colleague got access and could send it out for me. UGH. 😓
Today I am in person and the renovations are under way upstairs. Lots of questions, people, stuff happening. Sometimes I wish I had a place to hide. 😁
We have an event outside at 2:00pm today for our interns, that my colleague is organizing. I am really not up for it. Too much stuff that I could be doing, but I will break away for a bit to try and help her out.
Yes, thanks for the comment on my PPT's! The binders are almost all set up. Placing the tabs in now. No only if they would start giving me the presentations to edit! LOL

Busy but good here.
Yesterday afternoon after our event, we got back to our desks and then the fire alarm went off! Turns out it was just the two floors of our company. Went all the way down fifteen floors! Got outside and found out later that something tripped the fire alarm on the 16th floor but it turned out to be nothing. My non scale victory is I am able to go down fifteen flights without suffering and not being able to walk for two days… In the past fire drills were literal nightmares. 😲
Nice weather again today. Tomorrow and Friday are looking hot and more humid.

I am still waiting for these presentations to be submitted so I can go in and format them. I already told our printers our updated timeline and I will most likely be getting these copies back on Friday. I will come in to the office but not for a full day. All good.

@Meghan509 Way to go on the NSV!!! That is awesome! I hope your outside time yesterday wasn't too bad. The humidity here has been unreal this week and isn't supposed to get any better any time soon. Glad you got around your computer issue. Sometimes I just want to sail mine out the nearest available window. It is pretty chill today… oddly. The only excitement is that my supervisor got hurt last night and might be out for a few days. 😮
I have been pretty productive today and got several things off my desk. I am about to plow through a whole bunch more stuff that shouldn't take too terribly long to do. Maybe I can be all caught up by the end of the day!
On the weight loss front, I am down about a half pound a week for the last three months. Doesn't sound like much, but I was completely stagnant/slowly gaining for a really long time before that. Getting my thyroid smoothed out has helped SO much! I feel human again!

Couldn't post yesterday because I was in a bit of a PPT nightmare… Documents were finally sent off to the printers at 3:30pm ET yesterday. Wednesday night I stayed late at work. Left the office at 6:30pm and then proceeded to get stuck in construction traffic going home for 40 minutes. To go ten miles this is insanity. UGH. Thursday morning I logged on to people uploading brand new presentations and not the ones that I had spent SO much time formatting. Plus a whole host of other BS that I won't bore you with that caused me a lot of extra stress. At one point my talkative coworker came over to check on me and I told her I wanted to quit and needed to step away. After dropping a few F bombs… 😡
I have already mentioned to the guy who I work with on the project, that this cannot happen again. This process is not working. I also mentioned it to my HR manager because she asked how it was going and yeah not good. I will also speak with my direct manager who happens to be the Chief HR Officer to also let her know. We had discussed this project in my review and she knows how much of a pain it is. I honestly will look for another job if I have to deal with this type of nightmare again. I just can't. 😓
OK, got the negativity out of the way. Sorry about that. Needed to vent.

Since I know you are a little younger than me that means you are in perimenopause. That is the time when our hormones start to go haywire and all this fun stuff like thyroid issues (you) cholesterol issues (me) and aches and pains (everyone LOL) happen. Definitely keep your OB GYN in the loop so that you can get put on HRT when you think you need it. The problem with menopause in the past is nobody talked about it and I honestly had no idea what I was getting in to until it became more in the spot light. Also in the past, HRT was frowned upon because it was associated with a breast cancer risk. That has been debunked. Us Gen Xers need to look out for one another and inform each other. ❤️ Let me get off my soap box. LOL
Hope your manager's surgery goes well and you have an easy time at work. 😊
The weather is currently HOT and STICKY here, but it will be better after tonight. We are heading back to visit with BF's family on Saturday. This time is SIL and the kids will be there. They are house hunting on Sunday (trying to relocate back to the NYC area) and fly back to AZ on Monday. Her job is now here so they need to find something by end of summer so she can fully relocate.

@Meghan509 I am so sorry people did that to you! It is absolutely NOT ok for people to not get their lives together and make extra work for someone else! Hugs from here! I hope you can get it all straightened out and go into the weekend with nothing to stress you out! RE the hormones: I have a chiropractor that also does natural medicine and nutrition. She has been a LIFESAVER. She is the one who finally ordered the tests for my thyroid. And has given me some supplements to help with the crazy hormones. (My GYN refused to do anything but the TSH and then told me it was normal 😡). I can't recommend my chiro enough! (she takes distance patients, btw! LOL)
I powered through a TON of stuff yesterday! I am going to be able to clear my desk and skip out of here today if I power through all the things and people stop calling me every 20 minutes.

I did have a good weekend and was able to not think about work! We saw BF's family again. The weather was nice. Less humid and sunny. Any rain has been in the evenings. I wish it were always that way!
Glad you have a good Chiropractor who is looking out for you! What you said about your doctor not wanting to give you the labs you wanted is exactly what is wrong with our medical system in this country. UGH.
Logged on to work this morning and it has been crazy again. Eating my sandwich at my home desk and then I will be heading in to the office for the afternoon. This morning my home cable/internet also went down for a few minutes but luckily came back up. UGH. MONDAYS s*ck! LOL
After today it should get a little better. Everybody will have their stupid binders and the meeting will kick off tomorrow AM.

Ugh, I hear you @KateNkognito yesterday got A LOT worse before it got better. 😓 The good news is I had a bunch of people helping me and we got it all done at around 5:00pm and then I was able to leave at around 5:30pm and be finally done with this project once and for all. UGH. I think I have complained enough where they know they will have to be electronic after this. The documents are just too troublesome for binders.
Today is a day for catching up. The meetings kicked off this morning at a hotel close by, so they are out of our hair at least until Thursday end of day.
I finally logged my food in on "that other app" yesterday, which was good. I noticed that it was my first time since June 1. Been a crazy couple of weeks I tell ya. 😣
Traffic was busy but moving today which was nice. We are also have some spectacular weather here at the moment. It is low 70's F and NO humidity! I love it. Weekend is shaping up to be a nice one too. BF has more family coming in to town soon but I am suggesting that we stay put this weekend. Too much driving and traffic lately. Feeling burned out for sure. In a couple of weeks we will be heading upstate with friends to celebrate Independence Day. I am looking forward to that. We have a VRBO with a pool!

I have had a surprisingly slow yesterday and today. Knock on wood. Hoping it lasts at least until the end of the week. We have Friday off for Juneteenth. I really need a nice three day weekend. And Monday I get to go teach summer school about volcanoes in the morning.

Not a lot of exciting things going on around here. The weather can't decide if it is summer or not. 100 one day and 80 the next. It has been really nice in the evenings, though.

Today we are having a new sign installed upstairs in our reception area. It is going to look beautiful, I know it. Hoping the guy doesn't make too too much noise with the drilling. We have another meeting happening today in our Boardroom that our CEO is hosting. The room is down the hall a ways from the reception area. Knock on wood!
I am looking to coast through the rest of today and then have a decent day remote tomorrow. Enjoy your holiday off! I am jelly. LOL Will probably be quiet because a lot of people take that day off if they don't have it off. I was going to take it off but I didn't plan ahead in time. Next year. :)
I know what you mean about the weather. We have had some really nice low humidity days here. No air conditioning needed. So strange. Today we have some light rain and definitely more humidity. Weekend is looking good though. Sunny and 80's during the day and 60's at night. Looking forward to staying put this weekend and spending some time outside. We bought some new bird food for the feeder and I am going to put it in soon. The things that excite me. LOL

It is dark and rainy and cool today. I kind of want to go home early and curl up with a blanket and beverage and book and take a nap. But here I am, being a responsible adult and doing my job. Curse my parents for raising me right! LOL

I feel like work is starting to slow down a little and be more manageable. I did get a nice thank you for helping out on that big project last week, which is nice. :)
Friday ended up being a super slow day at work. I feel like everybody except for us was off. Our street felt quiet, less cars cutting through, etc. Now that school is out around here there are no more school buses driving by at all hours. :)
Weekend was nice. BF ended up driving down to NY to pick up his elderly aunt and uncle who arrived very early on Saturday morning from Argentina. He greeted them and spent a little time with his Dad and then headed back home. They will be in town for a month. His Mom is excited because that is her brother and his wife and they've never been to the USA before. :)
I finally finished organizing all of my clothing. Put away all the winter stuff and got all the summer stuff out. Also donated a bunch of stuff that was either too big, or stuff I was not into anymore. It does feel nice to be more organized and knowing where stuff is when I need it. Makes getting ready for work during in office days easier.

Now that I am physically in it is a little busier. Yesterday was quiet which was wonderful. I needed that. Today I've already had two ceiling tiles with water damage (water pipes run over us), submitted a business visa for someone, a missing Staples shipment (since found), and an electrician who is taking his sweet time getting back to us. Sigh… We had a new sign installed in our reception area on Friday and the final step is for the electrician to power it up. Quick and easy. Yet, all I get is crickets. LOL
Honestly I can't complain. I do like where I work and the people I work with. I just feel it when it is busy!
Hard to believe it is already June 23. Next week is July 1!
I am looking forward to some time off. Not sure if I mentioned before. I may have. We are heading up to the Catskills, NY from July 2 to July 5 and then I am also off for July 6 and July 7. Back to work on July 8 for a nice short week! We are doing an AirBnB with a bunch of friends and their grown up kids. The house has a pool and looks nice. Looking forward to it.
