Made Myself Sick, I think I'm allergic to gluten

  • I am gluten intolerant and for me before I removed gluten from my diet it was a lifetime of feeling like crap (diarrhea, nausea, fatigue). If you haven't consistently exhibited those symptoms after eating gluten for awhile, then I wouldn't really think it was related to gluten.

OP removing gluten for a week while she also possibly has a stomach bug isn't going to tell her anything. If she doesn't have the money for the tests, she and her doctor can discuss an actual plan for an elimination diet. Self-diagnosis is very discouraged for a lot of reasons in the Celiac's world. (No money tree here, either.)

OP, a doctor also likely won't prescribe these tests based on a single episode, but we don't know your medical history.
