July 2019 vs June 2020. 320lbs-ish vs 205lbs. Just started a new push to 185lbs or so for a scheduled competitive trail run in September. I'm very happy with my current weight but this is kind of an experiment to go all-in on getting lean for an event. We will see how that turns out. I am definitely having to make daily adjustments and concessions on calories to make sure the training is not suffering. Oh, and if it helps anyone with context I am 6'3" and will be 39yrs at the end of September.

Wonderful progress! Good luck with preparing for the trail run.1 -
(I’ll say this. Take pictures of your journey. Take all the pictures. You will want them.)

Absolutely outstanding! My hubby and I have mountain bikes and ride 60 miles a week on the road. I’d like to do some off-road biking but I have to do two things first. First get to 175 and second have my hip replaced😬. I was a high school/college track/cross country athlete and all that running, plus having a little one (22 years old now) kinda recked my hip. I’ve gone from 288 pounds to 226 pounds since retiring (at 49 1/2) and I actually put myself on “maintenance” until our daughter graduated from college and we move her back to DC for her job. Well...we’ll be moving her there at the beginning of September so I need to get refocused. Your post motivated me to get going and focus on my goal of biking through actual trails we have here. Our daughter loves hiking the Billy Goat Trails in the Potomac so I can work my way up to that as well!
Congrats again and great job!8 -

Still have 10-15 lbs to lose but I finally got below 140 which I’ve been trying to do for a year so I wanted to share!

The pic on the left would normally be way out of my comfort zone.... but at 45 I’m not really bothered now, I’m not fully ok but feel better about it. It has taken a lot of discipline and commitment but today I finally hit 170lb (169.9 to be exact) it took me 20 months but these 2 pics are from this year, right is 01.01.20 and left is today. You can do this, stay positive, stay focussed, remain consistent and if people put brick walls in your way... knock em down👊👊62 -

This thread is my fave. So motivating! This is January - today, -10 lbs (141 to 131)..... about halfway to my body composition goals but feeling confident I can get there at this slow and steady pace 💪🏼

Crazy what 2 + years of a healthy lifestyle can do 😊 Remember: they are tiger stripes not stretch marks 😉...So, heck yeah, I’m going wear a two piece bathing suit at the pool 👙83 -

Great job! Tomorrow is my 1 year fitnesspal anniversary apparently....364 streak today, 2 lb from the goal weight I set a year ago, seemed like a good time to check out the community posts, and share my photos/journey; 80 lbs crept up on me slowly in a decade...it took 1 consistent, accountable and disciplined year to lose. If somebody is just starting and in need of motivation, I hope this helps.
