I just started m.f.p. on Monday. I am having a lot of trouble with foods. I cannot meet the calorie intake I was given (1360) because I keep going over in sugar (27 g ) . I am eating fruit in the morning and that is where a lot of my sugar is taken. Please if anyone could give advise greatly appreciated.

Stop tracking sugar; you're tracking carbs and sugar is already included in there. Even if you're interested in sugar itself, he limit is supposed to be "added sugar". Fruit has natural sugar (I'm not sure I understand how your body tells the difference, which is why I think the science behind the added sugar thing is presented as a scare tactic), and so it should be in that same category, but MFP just tracks sugar in general.
TL;DR: If you care about too much sugar, just limit things with sugar added and don't track. You shouldn't care about sugar, so don't track it.0 -
Don't worry about sugar from fruit!
Just stick to your calorie goal.
Eat protein, good fats, veggies, fruits and drink plenty of water.
Have whole grains.
Eat food you love.
Have some treats within your calorie goal.
Move.
