Over 50 and working to change bad habits

Hi, I'm Kathy and would love to have a few friends on here to offer and receive encouragement as we work to change old habits. I've been on MFP for a few weeks now and am feeling really great about having control over what I eat. I'm feeling more motivated than I have in years!

I work full time and have started going to the gym with my adult daughter, usually meeting at 5:30am. Just recently started switching it up by taking some classes and doing a bit of hiking.

Just wanted to say hi!

    Hi Kathy. You can count me in. I joined MFP in 2012 but never did anything serious but I've been logging on since 12 February this year and I've only lost 4kg which is about 8lbs so it's slow going for me but I have lost 7cm off my waist and 5 cm off my hips. That's about 2 3/4 inches and 2inches respectively. I'm riding the bike trainer at home but would like to add some weights. Hopefully we can encourage each other along the way.
