Confused or Conflicted

For six months I basically bounced around in the 150 – 153 lb range. I had been dropping consistently before this from .2 to 1 lb a week. I tried a few things to get things going again but no luck. Finally decided to focus more on an endurance goal coming up this year and worry about getting the weight moving later but did keep eating the calories for weight reduction of .5 a week. So after months of no changes I sudden dropped to 147 within days, the scale just kept going down. Have now been floating between 147 – 149 lbs, I dropped a size and lost inches.

I am 5 3’ eat 1400 net, total calories range from 1400 to 2300 depending on the day. I weigh and measure everything and eat back 70 to 80% of my exercise calories. I am 47, a size 4US and at a26% BF. I would like to get to 145 and then reduce the body fat a bit more. I also do Krav Maga which is a mixed martial style self defense. I have a test coming up later this fall that will be about three hours long. I will get two five minute breaks and other then that if you stop you fail. The test after that will be four hours but that will be another year or two down the road.

At this point I am confused as to what my main focus should be. I would like to get rid of the next two pounds but I do not want to take another six months and I do not want to reduce my calories. Krav Maga takes a lot and you do not want to embarrass yourself by running out of energy in class. Do I give up on the two pounds and switch my focus to the endurance and body fat? The two pounds has been the goal in my head and dropping that seems to leave me conflicted. Also if I did not drop any weight for six months is the 1400 close to maintenance. Running the calculators I show maintenance should be around 1640.

I have always focused on weight reduction so learning to focus on other goals is new. Not sure when to switch over or am I just having an emotional road block on switching over?
