I had 263 calories left over and decided I could have a treat tonight since hubby bought these peanut butter and chocolate bears from the girl scouts before i started watching what i eat more carefully for my birthday. Instead of indulging in the full serving size of 4 bears. I only had 2. For me to control my chocolate and peanut butter treats like that is huge.28

i put on a pair of jeans i haven't worn in almost a year, and realized at school they were way too big around my waist and nearly falling off. my friend lent me a belt to wear, and i had to put it on the smallest size.21

Someone else posted theirs. I’ve also been doing the same challenge with my Apple Watch. First time I’ve had a streak over a day of all my rings closed. So I won the Ring in the New Year challenge as well and it’s so pretty 😍

Nine weeks into my new running program (C25K) and my BP has gone from 120/70 to 92/58. And OMG I have so much more energy.
I just now saw that someone clicked "disagree" on this. LOL. You can disagree all you want, it does not change my health status, energy levels, or biomarkers. SMH.
Since I posted this I ran my first 5K... This was last December, and I finished with a pace of 9'12"/mile. :-) Not too bad for an old guy who hadn't run since Freshman PE class 39 years earlier.

I don't even have s scale victory as yet but my NSV for today is that we went out for dinner tonight at a seafood restaurant. I ordered calamari, hake and prawns, grilled with a side of chips....i had intended to give half of the fries to hubby but he said he didn't want them so, i had my "meats" and three, literally three fries and left the rest....super proud of myself. Oh and i have been to gym every single day since i started this journey Monday the 6th.21

My most recent NSV - I've been a size Medium for a very long time and so for Christmas, dh bought me 3 size medium clothing items. They were all too big, we returned them all and the smalls fit perfectly. I basically live in tee shirts and leggings and hadn't realized I was a smaller size.30

On my way to the gym today I drove past the McDonalds I would frequently visit on my way from work. I felt no desire to go their and it was a crazy good feeling to drive right past my unhealthy choice on my way to a new healthy one!23

That's utterly amazing--YAY YOU, you winner YOU5 -
Today...
One colleague squealed with glee getting other colleagues to look in my direction, "You're shrinking!!!"
My other colleague looked at me with hot jealously when she said that and said jokingly, "aw... get outta here... " (she loves me and very candid with each other so not trying to offend) Another colleague asked if it was because I was walking still (I usually walk once a week with another colleague to pray over our school)
Another colleague looked admiringly calling me, "Skinny!" I just raised a hallelujah and said thank you.14 -
Today I realized I could detect another bone lurking under my squishy surface. The bump along your side is your pelvis, apparently 😁21

Congrats! I was a medium last year, but the other day I went shopping and bought myself a SMALL top! I wore it to work yesterday and the first person that saw me complimented it. Great start to the morning!15 -
I really didn't want to get up this morning when the alarm went off.
Hit snooze and darn it, the annoying thing went off again just seconds later (or so it seemed).
Killed it and dragged my sorry butt out of bed. Sat on the edge of the bed, thinking, "WHY am I doing this?" but eventually shifted myself into the bathroom and then woke my son up as today is parkrun day.
Got to the run, needed the toilet and had to clean up after the previous occupant (ugh, not nice considering that the previous person was a fully-fledged adult - some people).
Started the run/walk I am doing at the moment. Was annoyed by the testosterone-fulled participants who either scream at you, "fast runner, get over!" when we are already over to one side (what IS that about?) or barge past without any consideration for others. Also irritated by a few people who have no spacial awareness and knocked into me. This irritates me as I often have painful joints and don't need any external forces on them (and it's always elbows that get knocked). Normally I just think, "idiots" and carry on bit I was tired and a more than a little irritable.
We just did our own thing and enjoyed the run overall. Got back and found that our time, although really slow in comparison to times we used to achieve, was pretty good for recent weeks and was the fastest we'd done in several weeks.
Very, very happy with it and it has inspired me to try and beat it next week!31 -
Three different people have commented how much they like my new haircut. Hmmm...Same haircut I’ve always had. Perhaps my face finally looks thinner!22
