My muscle definition is becoming visible in my legs again. Getting my runner's legs back. Plus, my shoulders are becoming more square again thanks to some presses and push ups.
I realized simple everyday tasks are becoming easier such as carrying the groceries upstairs!
Pants that used to fit suddenly are to big, even though the scale has stayed the same (this slightly annoys me though haha)!
At work I can bend, squat and move with ease.
People at work are commenting on my appearance, saying I am looking smaller
I can lift heavier weights and do longer more intense workouts!
I started this journey last year and my weight loss has been very slow. I have lost about 35 lbs over the year. That is because I LOVE food lol and I love weight lifting. My body composition is changing but the scale is stalled. I am hoping once my hormone fluctuations settle down this month I will see that scale dip again.
I went to a very smart boutique today, where a lot of the dresses are one size because they don't make a huge number of them. I fit into everything I tried on, meaning it's pretty safe to assume I'm average sized right now.
Today, looking in the mirror I started to see torso muscles I didn't even know I had. Additionally, the belt that had gotten very small is now way too large.
I am on the right path and very happy for it. A few more pounds and I going to buy some "mid point" pants as my current pairs are really not working anymore.
I feel like a moron posting this but on the leg press machine I noticed I had a dark smudge on my calf. I figured it was from the stair treadmill or different equipment. I tried to rub it away unsuccessfully and it turned out to be a calf muscle shadow!

I think it is time for some new shorts for spring coming up Hard to believe this time last year these fit!
Congratulations! I've donated everything BUT what I bought last summer, I don't plan on fitting in it again but because it's newer I feel like I didn't get enough wear out of them. Stupid because they're 2 sizes too big!
@Katmary71: I've had to do that too. I felt really bad because some of this I'd just gotten last fall and they were "still good" but I can't wear it if it's falling down and such. So out it went.
So most of you will remember how as children we all learnt how to sit on the mat in front of the classroom teacher with our legs crossed? I was certainly good at crossing my legs and sitting still as a child. I used to be quite flexible and could get into some odd positions as a child.
Well anyway, with my weight loss came my lack of flexibility and being unable to do even simple things like bending over to pick up things. But I already posted my nsv about how I can now bend down easily... so useful and I happily make use of that skill again multiple times a day.
At the start of my weight loss I spent some time with kids in a school and I could not cross my legs on the mat with them. It was bad enough just getting down on the floor, but then I had to kind of sit sideways and it took up too much room and I lent heavily on my arm making it sore and my wrist almost break but I had no choice. Then I couldn't sit in one position for long because I was so enormous and uncomfortable. This is going somewhere I promise...! ...because today I was working with some kids again and we went to the mat. I got down easily and then gingerly (I promise I wasn't sure if I could do it) crossed my legs. My left thigh was really sore in the crossed position but I decided to ignore it and hope it would loosen up. It did loosen up a bit after a rather painful five minutes. So I only sat for less than ten minutes like that before I couldn't stand it any longer but you know what? I'm going to practice that at home a bit. I would really like to get my flexibility back and the weight loss and the lack of a big stomach and thighs already is helping so much.
Today I was feeling crappy about the scale not going down lately, and out of utter curiosity I stepped on the scale at the gym with my shoes and heavy backpack and coat on. With all those things on I weighed as much as I did in November!
I recently went through a pretty horrific experience with a bulged disc in my back. Was off work for a couple of weeks and have actively been doing physio since the incident. Today was the first day I could actually bend down and almost touch my toes and felt little to no pain doing it! Baby steps but I’ll take it. Can’t wait to get active again and build up my strength!

Looks like they even are a bit big for you! Is it a size 2 in US or UK sizes?

I still have 30 lbs to go!
@NightHawk584 Amazing in one year! Good for you!

Nothing moronic about that - I've had similar.

And I have also noticed my wedding/engagement rings getting looser and turning round a lot - haven't had that happen in a long time.
Definitely US sizes 😅
