Ran my first continuous 10 mile run yesterday afternoon. Took me 78 minutes. Looks like my goal of a half marathon in 90 minutes is doable!

My boss offered me cheesecake yesterday.
And by I mean offered, I mean ceremoniously placed a plate with a large slice on it right in front of me with a huge smile. He's like the nicest man on earth, so of course I accepted to not hurt his feelings.
I took a couple bites out of it, decided it wasn't worth it, and put it in a tupperware container to take home to my husband.
Cheesecake is my kryptonite so I was feeling pretty proud of myself. Especially being pregnant, my willpower sometimes lacks lol27 -

Holy cow, outstanding job! It takes me the same amount of time just to run 6 miles!9 -
I’m embarrassed to admit I fell off the wagon. Gained 20kg back, almost all the lost weight.
But I drew a line in the sand a couple of weeks ago. I’m eating healthier, not perfect but much healthier. I’ve turned away from sweets in the kitchen.
Today I went for a run, W1D1 of C25K. I’m starting over and it was hard, as I expected. My real NSV is that when I got tired, I thought “bloody hell this is going to be tough.” Not once did I even consider not making it through or question whether I’d be able to finish. A surprising reminder from the sheer determination and mindset I grew on my last weight loss journey.
The quote I keep coming back to:
“It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.” - Confucius
That quote has gotten me through so much in life ♥
Well done!7 -
Parkrun no 113 . . . in the middle of Storm Dennis.
Had a better time than last week (when I was wading through mud) but not as good as the week before (which was an almost flat, tarmac course - I'm always faster on a non-grass surface). But, bearing in mind the ~40mph winds and the mud, I was pleased with my time. Had some nasty little hills in it as well so overall, I was happy. And we managed to beat the rain. Weren't fast enough for the cake that someone brought for their 250th run, happily!

Thanks. I used to do a lot of walking but decided to improve my pace so just over a year ago did couch to 5k. I was intending to do a half-marathon middle of last year but I got plagued by non-related injuries (including breaking both clavicles in separate incidents) so to make up for it, I'm really starting to pile it on this year.

Correction on yesterday's victory, down to my lowest dress size and dropped a pant size. 😊20

Last year at this time, I would not have been able to stop until 1/2 of the tub of this delicious salted nut roll ice cream was gone. This year, I can stop at the exact serving size when I have to have the real thing...It's still a CRUEL JOKE to say this is a serving! haha

Have walked everyday on the treadmill or gazelle (except 1 due to doc orders because of a sore foot) for the past 4 weeks.19

Well, it's official. I'm down a shoe size. Went from an 11 wide to a 10 regular.
I still have huge feet but at least now it's just genetics and not fat. Also I can shop in normal stores again.39 -

So pleased for you and excited for the new shoe opportunities you'll have! This is one of my big challenges/goals I'm looking forward to achieving, too.5 -

I wonder if mine will go down at all. My feet aren't objectively plump. It would be nice to drop a size because finding things in a nine is easier than finding things in a ten.5 -
Today I found that I cannot carry my tote bag in my hand to the gym with a my arm fully extended down anymore, as it now drags on the ground. I'm guessing it's a change in the side fat levels, which apparently had my arms landing "higher" before.24

I went out to eat tonight. I didn't go somewhere where they list the calories on the menu, so I went with an educated guess. A six ounce sirloin and a side of rice pilaf filled me up, along with a roll. My son got onion rings, and while I could have had some if I'd wanted, I didn't even want. Dessert wasn't even contemplated. And I came in under budget, and I didn't have to stress about it at all. I know about how much I can eat these days, and I didn't have to worry. This is really nice.
Also, my bra is still just a smidge tight around the ribcage. This is a reminder to me to stick with it and get one more pound off so it fits better, as opposed to getting another bra. (grin)14 -
College guy gave me the up and down look twice. He saw my ring and moved on. I'm flattered because Im twice his age. I never got that kind of attention when I was obese on the Asian American bmi chart.12

Long story short, had to go buy new jeans yesterday. Went from a 36 waist to a 32 waist. Still having a hard time believing that I fit into those.21

I’ve stopped using a bra extender, happily my current set still fits well in the cup which is a double win (saving money and all that jazz).
I’m sure I’ll need to break out the extenders again in a month or two when I try to move down to my “nice” underwear drawer though 😂
Twice this week I left food on my plate from my packed lunch, because I was full. This never happens so I celebrate listening to my stomach!18 -
I got up out of bed this morning without my lower back in agony for the first time in what seems like years36

This is my saddest NSV. I was caught off guard by the amount of calories I burned yesterday, so I got a box of glazed donuts, which I remember eating several at a time, "back in the day."
...
It doesn't appear that I like donuts as much as I thought I did. There are four left in the box and I'm not even tempted by them. They have no substance or flavor other than "way too sweet."
My TDEE is high enough these days that I can get my protein in and have room for "whatever I want," but now I need to find a new favorite "indulgence..."21 -

I can't stand it. I feel so lazy. And I had to cut my calories to inactive job type rather than active. I don't like that lol. I like to eat.
So, while I'm keeping my calories where they are for the time being, I have a timer set on my fitbit for 20 minutes.
Every time it goes off, I get up, step out of view of the camera, and do 25 jumping jacks, 5 body weight squats, and run in place for a minute. Time permitting, of course. It won't always be exactly every 20 minutes because of phone calls, etc.
3 times per hour times 12 hours. I'm hoping it helps offset some of this activity change.
So, my calves are shot from all the running in place. Lol.
Yesterday, instead, every 30 minutes, I simply paced my little room for 6 minutes. 24 times a day, that's over two hours of walking in one shift.
My average daily steps have jumped from 1.7k (terrible, I know, I HATE being stuck at a desk) to 12k. They're almost back up to me pre-light duty average.
Meaning guess who gets to eat more!!! Me!!17
