I can definitely see some body changes. I don't have little billows of fat either side of my knees when I stand any more. My belly droops less. It also feels like the rolls of fat on my mid-lower back aren't as big.
This is really encouraging.
@NatalieBkk: How long did that take you? I started at a 20, and am wondering if a 12 or an 8 by December is at all rational.
I just bought a new outfit for an event - high waisted pants, and an almost-crop top. NSV is that I would not have gone near this style before...I was too self-conscious of my stomach.
I swim 2000 meters a few times a week as part of my normal workout routine. Sometimes I will push it and do 2500, but that leaves me exhausted. I wanted to see how far I could swim without stopping and resting. I pushed myself one day last week and was able to get in 3200 meters. I felt like I could have kept going, but the pool was closing.
I was in the gym today and had a visit between sets with a trainer I've known for several years and her client. After that, I was doing bent over rows and in the mirror I saw both of them checking out the back of my arms. (I think it was my arms) The trainer said something about my progress, but I cant remember what since my ear buds were in at the time.
I have logged in for over a month, I made a relatively good choice in food eating out today, and instead of going the short way on my run I went the long way and ran 2.7 miles! Also all of this is especially impressive (to me at least) because I have been sick and coughing all week so it was harder to get motivated. Hope you all have a great week full of new nsvs!
I've noticed that we have an impressive array of snacks at home now. Even a half eaten bag of potato chips. And I have no problems resisting temptation, I just take a small portion when my calorie goal allows for it.
Have kind of an emotional (negative) day, and while I did contemplate a pity party for one with beer and ice-cream, I didn't do it as I hadn't budgeted the calories.
I have logged in for over 100 days! I am happy about that, but I have not logged my food everyday. My life has gotten so stressful that I have been letting things slide. Any suggestions on how to get back to it? I have not logged my food in 6 weeks. I will take another victory in that I have maintained and not gained-kind of a scale victory, but being aware of my intake has been a struggle. I really need to get back to logging. It just feels like one more thing I have to do when it is all so hard right now. I could use a little advice.
Honestly @rhwiblin it is still down to you. You were logging you food for a reason, you had a goal to achieve. At any point I say if you are overweight and you want to lose weight you will - as long as you want it more than the food, the sitting down, the drinking, etc.
Stress is a factor that can lead us to eat as we have been trainined to see food as a reward or comfort. If you really want to lose weight and you are not because you have stopped tracking then you are possibly adding to your stress by not achieving what you want to. Honest tracking will take one less concern away.
So two years ago I bought one of Fitness Blender's workout programs for my birthday. I have never completed it 🙄. The most I have been through it is almost 3 weeks and then for some reason I stopped and haven't ever finished it - though I have restarted it several times!
My NSV is that I decided to try again and today marks one week down. I am hoping that by posting on here I can motivate myself to keep going. I am on an extended vacation due to the coronavirus - I work on China, went on vacation and now it is lasting longer because of the virus. My work told me things probably won't get back to normal until May so even though I hope to get back to China within the next 3 weeks, I will still have lots of free time to work on the program. And do some hiking - my schedule at work hasn't let me do that like I used to, but with the free time I should be able to do it again

Bra-vo! Just wow.
This is really encouraging.

Snacks didn't use to survive this long
Hahahahaha this is awesome and hilarious.

Well done on not gaining over the last few weeks
