I came back to work after working from home for 6 months. A lot of the people here at work were amazed at how much weight I've lost and told me how good I looked. That made my day big time.33

I finally, just within the past month, feel as though the symptoms I've been carrying around since I got sick with Covid last year are fading. I almost feel like I did before I got sick. Getting my running pace back, slowly and gradually. It took about 10 months to start feeling improvement, and about 15 months to feel almost normal again! Still have an inhaler, but at least now it feels like it's actually doing something for me. For about a year, the inhaler didn't feel like it was helping to improve anything. It was more like it was just stopping me from getting any worse. I stayed at the same crappy level forever. But that was better than going downhill, so I'm grateful for it. Glad it's finally happening though, I'm finally improving. Maybe some day I won't need the inhaler anymore? Fingers crossed...30

My Garmin watch is telling me I have improved my VO2 Max, I am now in the Good category, I started in very poor a few months ago and have climbed 10 points. Although only a small thing, and not super accurate, I am very happy.25

I broke through a weight loss stall and dropped 1.3 pounds!!!
What's incredible about this is that I am 5'2" and eating about 1650 total calories/1204 net calories a day. I am eating well while building muscle with difficult workouts.26 -
Took the stairs two at a time after my run this evening (I live on the third floor) and thought “hey, I should do this all the time, feels like less effort”19

I had to tie my shoes tighter today. They were too loose!19

I was lying on my back, holding onto the arches of my feet, and stretching my hamstrings by straightening my legs out when I looked at my thighs and realized a lot of the lumpy bulkiness of them I dislike is loose skin, not fat. This is definitely progress!16

Not 100% sure this is a true weight loss NSV, but I can’t think of any other ‘physiological change’ that could have caused it so I’m claiming it!
Went to the optician yesterday for the first time since Covid hit. I normally go every 3 months for a contact lens check. In that time I’ve probably lost just over 2 stone and am maintaining in goal weight territory. My prescription has improved quite a bit!
It’s my 60th birthday today so normally I’d expect deterioration rather than improvement! I asked why it can happen and the optician just said ‘physiology changes all the time so whilst it’s unusual it does happen’ - so I’m taking it as a hidden improvement due to losing weight! 😂21 -

I have noticed that I am constantly pushing my eye glasses up on my face more. I guess with the loss of 110 lbs. my face has gotten smaller. Need to take them back to optometrist office to see if they can tighten them to stay up on my face.19

Today was my first review with the Dr after my T2 diagnosis. My fasting glucose was 4.2, and A1c was 5.4. Super proud at those results, as they were achieved by hard work and tracking.21

Yesterday as I was out shopping, all I wanted was to stop at a fast food joint and get the hugest cheeseburger I could and a shake...BUT I told myself that I would love myself much more tomorrow for going home and preparing a super good-for-me dinner and that is what I did. Later for a snack, I made a copycat Frosty with 1% milk and sugar free vanilla pudding. Totally satisfied that craving!
In case you are wondering - 1 cup 1% milk (or skim), 1 tsp of vanilla, 8 ice cubes, 2 T Lite Cool Whip, 2 Tbsp of sugar free instant vanilla pudding. Blend, let sit for 5 mins in the freezer. This is around 140 calories - compared to a medium Frosty at Wendy's = 400.

This sounds really good, I'm going to have to try it.
And WTG for not caving on the cheeseburger, our bodies do thank us later.
