Did my favourite walk in The Lake District (UK) at Easter. The first part normally takes about 1h40mins with at least two stops because it's so steep and I am so out of breath, I'm also usually shattered half way round the walk back. This year I did the first part in 38 mins with no stops at all and completed the rest of the walk with energy to spare. I was a very happy lady indeed that day.
That is absolutely brilliant! You must be so chuffed! xx8 -
2 people commented on how long my legs are today. No one ever seemed to notice before.12

@RosyBest
Yes!! isn't it wonderful that dropping weight can drastically (in my case) lower blood pressure!! And a pulse rate of 51 too!
Good for you!9 -
Today I had to move to a smaller belt hole! It's the little things that make me smile!18

Yesterday (MLK Day in USA) in NW PA it decided to have a 17" snow storm. I had the day off from work so I decided to do some meal prepping. I had a friend who needed some medical supplies, so I went out (thank you landlord for shoveling my long driveway so I could get my car out). I decided that as long as I was out and about I would stop at the gym and do my regular routine. I amazed even myself.18

V proud of myself! Went to Olive Garden for my daughter's birthday, at her repeated request I checked the menu for any options I liked (went with Shrimp Scampi), only ate 1.5 breadsticks, had extra salad without croutons, and only ate about half of my own pasta so I could have a few bites of my daughter's birthday dessert. That came in at about 800 calories. That's big for a dinner for me at the moment, but as the average per-main-course calorie count at Olive Garden is about 1200-1500 calories, I'll count it as good. And for the day, I was only about 125 over my calorie goal. Yay!24

I had gotten to the point that I no longer could wear XXL and had to start shopping at stores that exclusively sell plus size clothing. Selection was terrible, the clothing was terribly put together, and insanely expensive!
NOW, I can shop anywhere I want to again AND I can buy XL clothing and it fits me every time - I even recently bought some clothing in the juniors section in XL and they fit. Woohoo!!!
I am on my way to that dream pair of jeans at the Express!!17 -
@FABRICWOMAN
WOW! The Lake effect will do that to you in NW PA. We only got about 4-5" here in the Harrisburg area.1 -

Success last night.
Yes, I ate late, but that's because that's when supper came out of the oven. I had a bunch of Yukon Gold potatoes that needed to be cooked, and I tried an experiment of something I've never made before. Pretty easy, and used my Dutch Oven.
I could have eaten it all. I went back for seconds and then a little more, but I saved about half to reheat tonight. That's the success. I was able to tell myself that I wasn't hungry really, and in fact I'd get fuller, and I just wanted to keep eating because delicious. But I didn't. Yay!

In September I went to the doc for a cough and my normally normal B/P was up, so was my weight. When I saw her in October, my B/P was not as high, but she still wanted it monitored. I had started back on MFP 10/1 and had lost about 5 lbs. I promised her I'd lose more weight, and if my B/P didn't come down, I'd consider meds. At that point she looked unconvinced and told me not to be disappointed in myself if it didn't work out. I went in 1/4, and not only was my B/P down, my weight was also down 17lbs on her scale (only 15 on mine which is what I follow). She was more excited than me. I've still got about another 15 to lose, and my next goal is to get off my low-dose cholesterol medication.26

I'm not eating past 8:30 PM anymore and noticed that I've been sleeping better. Better sleep means more productive days and great workouts.22

Actually went jogging during TOTM. Normally would never push myself working out, and in the past hated running, but it didn't feel like such an endeavor. Didn't go as far as I usually do, but my mile time was decent and I'm proud of that.20

I'm not overthinking about food all the time anymore. I fit my old "skinny" pair of pants again. My stomach isn't one big blob anymore but it's starting to shape up again. My back rolls are shrinking. Can't wait for the moment they aren't there anymore.24

I have owned these shorts since I was 18 (I’m turning 34 in March just for an idea of how long I’ve held onto them. They are an AU14. When I bought them I deliberately sized down because I was fed up with my size and wanted to motivate myself to lose weight. Over the years I have never entertained the idea of parting with them as I always had faith that I would fit in them someday! It’s only taken me the better part of 16 years to get there, but they go on. They aren’t quite a perfect fit yet, but they are getting there.

I was wearing a crew neck t-shirt with short sleeves and a co-worker commented, "Dude, you are ripped!". I tried to brush it off but that was the best compliment I have ever received. I should go buy him a house or a car I think.39
