I did swim. Barely... It was a slog of a mile + change. But, it's Friday, it's sunny and warm, and I needed to earn my cold beer tonight. Job done :)

    3000m

    400 mixed warmup

    200 free pull

    200 free kick

    Four sets of
400 free on 7.30 (cruise pace aim 6.20)
100IM on 2.30 (fast aim for sub 1.30)

    IMs were 1.27 1.26 1.29 1.26

Found this quite a tough session - my heart rate was nearly 160 after the last 100IM which is about super high for me!

little swim today to try and stretch out after weekend of lots of leg work.

    100m with hand paddles
    100m sprint (1:35)

    200m kick
    3x100m fast (2:18/2:19/2:22)
    4x75 IMO (50 kick/25 swim)
    2x100 IM
    3x200m (build/moderate/fast)

    100m cooldown

6.4km last night in the 22m gym pool.
I was swimming with the lane rope about 5 inches from my right shoulder. My left hand caught the left foot of the person on the other side of the rope. Crazy stuff happens when swimming in China.
Sometimes I get kicked in the ribs from the other side of the rope.

Have been getting in late and not posting. Had a few swims - 1200 - 1600m depending on Pool Traffic. Drills and just splashing laps.
@fishgutzy I once hooked arms with a swimmer in the adjacent lane over top the rope - since the person sharing the lane with us was a wanderer we were both pretty much rubbing a shoulder on the rope so our recovery was over the rope in the adjacent lane. I have been kicked by Breast strokers and slapped by back strokers.

1.5 miles today. Pretty slow, but that's not new. An older woman joined my lane without getting my attention. That really pisses me off. I nearly crashed into her, but she's a nutty side-stroker/frog kick breast stroker, so she's 10x slower than I am. I let her know that she needs to let someone know before just starting off. She was apologetic. Luckily, I was nice  Sometimes I jump to judgy... I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt.

WaterX class afterward. I was out of juice. Trail run yesterday wore me out.

@girlwithcurls2 That's good cross training. Another Trail Addict??
I have a Trail HM race next weekend in the Mountains, crawling up hills and flying down the other side.

Yup. I really don't run on pavement anymore. I used to run 5-6 days/week, but plantar fasciitis sent me to the pool. Now I run 2x a week. There's a state park near my house with a fantastic trail network and great hills (if you want them-you can also stay somewhat flat if you want). The cross training has been great :). I'm not sure I'm ready for a trail race...
