I like to use my old school ab wheel roller, but can't find out how many calories it burns for my exercise diary. Any guesses?

Not very many, it is for anaerobic ab work I would venture to guess 2-4 calories per minute depending on your info.

Check the website for The Doctors. They had a segment last week on testing different ab workout devices. Of the 5 they tested the old fashioned no cost crunch worked the abs the best! From the look of the ab roller they had on the segment, I would most likely lose control and slam my chin on the wheel on my way down!

As stated above, it doesn't really burn many calories at all since you are not increasing your heart rate into the aerobic phase. Not sayin' that this isn't an effective workout for strengthening those muscles, but I wouldn't count it as your cardio. I would simply use it after doing some cardio and record the cardio calories into your diary. That way you get calorie burn and sore abs tomorrow.

I watched it! Who would've thought! Yah, my ab wheel works like the "turbo track' but a whole lot cheaper. But looks like I'm gona stick with my normal crunches! Thanks
