First, one food item will not blow your whole diet unless you let it. We all slip or have functions, parties whatever to go to and our choices may be limited or lack nutrition. Your choices are to either take something in your purse with you or indulge and get moving to work it off and eat healthy for the rest of the day!
Second, relatives and friends can be the hardest to say no too, why, because they have similar habits to us and being social to many people always involves food. This is when you have to be strong and make choices that are right for you, and it may not be easy or popular, but you have to make the choice to treat yourself consistently great!
Weight loss is truly a journey, the first step usually involves going balls to the walls and eating salad and oatmeal or something like that until the end of the week (heck the first day for most) when your body tells you it needs more fuel. Next, we try to figure out how to eat crap in a healthy way and that usually ends in a bit more weight gain and probably zits too!
I have found taking baby steps works best, add and eliminate a few foods at a time, eventually the fast food and crap wont taste so good, and in the case of most, your stomach will get you back for the fatty, biproduct filled crap by cramping and irritating and you praying to the porcelin gods for some type of relief. It is a matter of each person trying and failing and trying again with different formulas for their life that will eventually lead you to success!
Next time, research some food options online, look at the calories and fat content and decide ahead of time what you will eat because you will get to KFC and the calorie and fat content will pop up and hopefully it will make you turn around and get the better choice you picked before leaving the house, and if not, keep shopping for another couple of hours0
