I would start out by making sure your goals are set. Use the guided recommendations to start with and if that does not seem to work for you, come back and change your goals to set them custom.
Log EVERYTHING you eat and your workouts each and every day. Read the message boards, make friends with those who you feel will help to motivate and encourage you....and you do the same for them. I find that when I show encouragement to others, it encourages me as well on my own journey!
