Are calipers worth it?

I'm trying to determine my body fat percentage, because I'd really like to base my goals on that rather than BMI. But tape measure calculators are worthless, putting me between 20% (yeah RIGHT) and 30% (I really don't think so). And they're all over the board between.
So, I'm considering getting calipers, but I know they can have a margin of error to. Who uses calipers? Are they worth it? Or should I just give up trying to figure out my body fat percentage?

I used calipers when I worked for 24 Hour Fitness several years ago. I hated them, we used to have a group of trainers measure the same person and everyone would come up with drastically different numbers depending on how each person pinched. I use this with my clients now. I would say it is relatively accurate, most of all its really easy!
