Hey everyone!! I was wondering, does anyone out there take probiotic pills/vitamins over the counter (from CVS, RiteAid, GNC) and experience EXTREME bloating and discomfort??

I'm not sure if the probiotics are the cause.. but last night after dinner, I looked down and you could have sworn I was 8 months pregnant! I BLEW UP and there was no reason for it. I ate a really simple, clean dinner (grilled shrimp and gluten free orzo) and I just have no idea why I have gotten so swollen.

Any help, advice, stories would be greatly helpful!!

iv been taking probiotics for about 3 weeks now and i feel ok. i dont bloat at all anymore because at the same time i gave up yeast and wheat (due to intollerance), try changing the brand your using, that might help x

If you eat healthy you don't need to take probiotics. Probiotics are the rage now because people are not eating fresh fruits and veggies, they are eating highly processed foods that have no real nutritional value. If you eat healthy you don't need the probiotics and absolutely they are causing you to bloat. No question.
