Lately I cannot stop eating fruit. I have been craving it for the past few days. The problem is that it is full of carbs and sugar...so I have been going over. Should I be worried about this? It is just sooooo good!

You will get all kinds of opinions on this but whole fruits are great for you healthy in fiber and antioxidants. If youa rent going over your calorie goal and still getting enough protein then it shouldnt be an issue

Nope, no worries. Craving fruit means you're either 1) not getting enough water, as fruit contains A LOT of water and/or 2) needing more fiber. The sugars in fruit won't hurt you, but next time you crave a piece eat something else super high in fiber or drink a glass of water. Wait 30 minutes and if the cravings hasn't subsided, eat a piece of fruit and ENJOY.

Whatever, fruit is good for you.

It's the kind of carbs that give you healthy energy.

It depends on how much you have been going over and on what. Shoot for low GI foods like melon and blueberries. If it is not hindering your weight loss then there isn't much to worry about. Enjoy it while it is in season!

I could be you are a little dehydrated because of the heat. Try to drink a lot more water. Fruit is great but too much of a good thing isn't good.

Hmmm I think try to mix the fruit with some yogurt, to make it "bigger" and with some protein - that way at least you wont be hungry so often. But I understand that the "craving" is the problem... if you go over too much, you should really stop yourself (no matter how healthy it is) - or you will not loose weight probably (or not as fast as if staying under).
But maybe give it a week and see how your body reacts? Just watch out for weight changes and you will catch it in time;)

totally agree - i've eaten a ton of fruit since starting my healthy journey - also veggies mind you - and there is a HUGE diff between the fructose in fruits and sucrose in other stuff... Sadly MFP doesn't break it down better, but you should not worry - fruit gives a great energy boost without the carb coma that comes from processed and refined carbs/sugars...

I am of the opinion that we as humans started out as fruit and nut eaters since these things grow naturally without tending. If you think about it humans and fruit have a symbiotic relationship. Fruit needed humans to eat them and spit the seeds away from where they originally grew. Humans were nomads who needed food that grew naturally. I believe the fiber in fruit balances out the carbs.

Just think of what most of us and maybe you, ate INSTEAD of fruit. Fruit is good for you. Weight Watchers has made most fruits and vegetables free.
