Anybody out there use the Billy Blanks Tae Bo DVD system? I'm looking for something new and it looks interesting - getting cardio and resistance at the same time. It looks to cost about $90 plus shipping for all the DVDs, the bands, and the gloves.

Anyway - anyone have experience with that and, if so, what's your opinion?

Wow? 90 bucks seems high. Check Ebay or a place that deals in trade in dvds and probably find it much cheaper!

I'm a huge fan of Tae Bo. I have been doing it and on since 1998, coming back strong to Tae Bo in 2010. I don't own PT 24/7 yet, but hopefully, in a few months I will.

I own a huge percentage of Billy's workouts, except a few of his older workouts. I have his latest ones too: Cardio Inferno, Tae Bo Insane Abs. This is Tae Bo and Boot Camp Cardio Sculpt. You can find these on Amazon, some at WalMart, Barnes and Nobles, etc.

If the Lord says the same, in a few hours, I will be doing Tae Bo Insane Abs.

Check clips of the videos out on Youtube.

$90.00 for 5 dvds, resistance bands/gloves, nutrition plan is not high.

PT 24/7 came in the mail on Thursday. It has two sets of gloves and resistance bands so my husband tried it out with me. We've only done the basic so far, but it includes a four week schedule that rotates all the discs and includes a meal plan that doesn't look crazy expensive or boring. While your doing it the bands don't seem to make a huge impact, but at the end of the basics DVD Billy has you take them off and do the punches and kicks without them and BOY do you ever notice a difference. So far I'd recommend it.
  • I love it... I have the older ones and I burn 1100 in a 60 min. workout... it feels fabulous. It is a total body workout... you punch, kick and twist the entire time... He concentrates on abs, buns, and hips it seems. I have lost less than 20lbs, but notice a significant change in my waist line and biceps already. My body is reshaping even with a little bit of weight loss. I wil advance to his more difficult versions when I master my current tapes! Hope it works as well for you. OH.... and he is sooooo positive and encouraging! I have also noticed a decrease in those dimples on my thighs/hips...LOL...ijs!
:grumble: (he will make you want to kick him through the t.v. at times though...lol!)
  • I love it! I only have the insane abs one, and just got it a few days ago, but have done it everyday since, and I feel great. I mean, I feel sore, but I like feeling sore after a great workout. And it's fun.
