mall this afternoon hubby wants a new toy (rivet gun) i can hardly think of anything i want! (besides being healthy and thin) visiting daughter's college & dorm tomorrow i love wearing my mom's stagehand Broadway show shirts to the gym (even though they are size XXL) i am super healthy. i am not obese anymore figs! 0

my 18yr daughter has fun with her friends w/out alcohol or drugs. blueberry picking (and eating off the bush) hubby helps (a lot) folding laundry hubby usually cleans kitchen after dinner 1

Looks like it's just the two of us! How was the visit to college with your daughter? Have you already dropped her off for the year? What year is she -- freshman?
1) errands on a weekday - wow! Sure beats Saturday's hectic crowds!
2) the sweet anticipation of seeing my college son for a few days between summer internship and start of classes
3) fresh peach cut up into vanilla low fat yogurt -- I'm seeing a fruit theme running through my entries!
4) a husband who will tell me when I'm starting to get worked up about something that really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things
5) tickled by the surprised look on the Home Depot worker when I asked for help picking a 'flapper' -- a toilet tank part. Darned if I know what it is but he seemed impressed that I knew enough to call it by name. (Yeah, I checked - my husband sent me on the mission for a new one!)
6) the discovery of Lindy's Italian ice (find it in your grocer's freezer) -- OMG -- wonderfully refreshing with only 60 calories - I may have found something that ALMOST substitutes for ice cream....well, maybe sometimes....1 -

Keenan is starting his senior year at a college in Maine, Bates, it is where I studied too so that's special.
I actually like having the boys gone. Our youngest didn't go to college but is in an apartment and working. It's pretty amazing how much extra time I've found!
There is also the added plus of knowing that the food I bought will be there when I go looking for it. I've had ice cream in the freezer for two weeks; in the past it would have disappeared in three days!
I live in western NY. It's a glorious summer day here.

looks like we ARE buying that fixer house! artichoke for dinner last night got car back (from repair shop) yesterday dog's owie is healing i enjoy volunteer work at library today 3 new colorful fish in fish tank new, pretty dark pink color, leash and matching harness for dog 0
